Seibon CF OEM Style Hood

Bought the above listed C/F Hood for my EK9r.

Would like to ask if there's a need for Hood Pins for the above mentioned product.
Made me wonder as i saw "Hood Pins Required" on Seibon website.

Would apprecite your help.

Who do you trust more, us or the guys who designed and made the bonnet? I know people who run cf bonnets without pins and Seibon stuff is top quality, but personally I would always be haunted by the possibility of the bonnet smashing against my windscreen at 70mph...

I've got a carbon hood on mine and no pins

Previous owner has seen 170+ and the bonnets stayed in place so I'm happy

I've had a Seibon hood for over 5 years now, never used hoodpins and never had problems

I've got a varis bonnet and don't use pins. Dunno if there is any difference.. It looks amazing there nonetheless

i also have a seibon cf bonnet,the oem catch holds it in place no problem, no need for pins..

I have a seibon bonnet the past couple of years with no bonnet pins without any problems.

they have the race version and normal version cf hoods.. race verison are lighter and will need hoodpins..
