My engine is reaching the 200.000km mark shortly. Mechanical is sound, no oil burning etc, compression healthy on all 4 cylinders, but i was thinking maybe it`s a good time to service the distributor, as it`s Achile`s heal in B engines. My cap is cracked for more than 50.000km`s and i want to recondition the whole assembly. Has anyone done it, or anyone has suggestions where to begin getting the parts and what to look for? TDC sensor will be worth changing as well?

A new cap, leak cover and rotor is a must to start with, as for the sensors you can replace them but there is no real point untill they go IMO.

as above

also afaik you cant buy ignitors or coils from honda as they want to sell you a fully distributor

so swapping them for second hand items is pointless if your own are working properly

also look into a set of new leads like NGK

simauto sells NGK blue leads for a good price

You can buy coils+ignitors separate. A coil is roughly 100euro from Honda
