It's hard to describe the smell of the oil but I've recently started to smell an awful smell, when I fitted my new rocker cover the oil looked good still nice and clean. The car was only serviced 3,000 miles ago.

Since then I've fitted a tegiwa manifold, custom 2.5 center section without any silencers, decat & a spoon n1. J's racing whales *****.

Could anyone give me an idea what to look for? Going to service the car next weekend, I'll be using motul and a hamp filter. Change spark plugs etc

Did you rebuild the engine at any point in the past?
Do you have any breather system/oil catch can setup on your ride?

You could go as far as having your oil analyzed to locate the issue, would cost something I am sure as I have yet to try it.

did u spill any of your oil on the new manifold or on the engine mate?i know it sound simple bu ti have done this a couple of times and have had a horrendous smell

lol, im still burning mine off too...lol its been 3 days now.

Mine smells like it has fuel mixed in it :S

Haven't spilled oil on the manifold, but when i took the rocker off what a smell!, as far as im aware the engine has never been rebuilt. Does almost smell like burnt fuel/oil mix.

Put a breather setup on your car.
you may be smelling blow by gasses.

Very possible tama, will sort something out, it it possible that the car just needs mapped?
Its not been mapped yet i was going to wait until i get a few more things, but maybe it needs it.

A map may make it worse too without a breather.

EDIT: I recommend to put a breather setup on prior to remap. Your engine will run differently if its not ingesting oil into the intake, plus you will make better power, smoother too...
