When I am driving, mainly whilst turning, the car sounds like it is squirting some sort of fluid and you can hear a rattling sound. When parked I inspected the engine bay and noticed a light spray of some oily substance. Looked almost like engine oil but did not smell like oil nor did the engine look as if it was leaking anywhere. I could be trippin and it could simply be silicon spray that the shop used to detail the bay. I cleaned it out and today after work i will inspect the bay once again. any suggestions on what it could be? oil level topped off with no sign of burning any off. I will post again after i look this afternoon. If you have any suggestion let me know.

Deffo sounds like the PS to me.
Check the feed and return line from your steering rack and check no fluid is leaking. Also check the PS Fluid bottle and if the level is low, youve more than likely got a leak somewhere.

i will doub check the PS Pump and accessories however i doubt it is indeed the PS. That is what is so odd about this. The steering has not changed at all and the misty substance was located near the battery (remember it is a US Spec) and up against the firewall on the opposite side of the bay.

Yea, not the PS or anything to do w/ it. Fluid is at an acceptable level and there were no sign of spray in that area. Didn't see any new spray this afternoon but it is going back in the shop for their courtesy service anyway, I will ask if it is simply their cleaning solution/silicon spray they used for the detailing. Still trippin me out tho.

Hasnt come back yet...I think i was simply trippin myself out! i dont like fluids in the engine bay.
