Spoon Calipers Review

That definitely works...

and bleeding the system with two people will be a thing of the past. You'll wonder how you ever did this before and realize how much of a waste of time and waste of fluid it was!

Sweet i will get this then! Now that i've done my brakes i really want to be able to keep them in tip top condition and after having to bleed it 5 times with 4 bottles of rbf 600 plus a 500ml bottle to flush the system.... You can understand why 2 man bleed is becoming a thing of past! Its such a pain!

Thanks for you help! Rep added

:thanks:

Sorry to bump this thread but after a lot of effort and trying different things and nearly giving up i finally got the Spoon calipars working and holy **** they're awesome! The pedal is rock hard.

Niceish, then sinks.

I actually called Tom at TGM today. What a legend gave me some sound advice and some tips and pointers when bleeding.

Basically

Pump pedal 6 times, on the 6th pump hold it down.

Release nipple

Pedal will drop

Lock nipple

Allow pedal to come back up

Repeat 2-3 times per caliper

Left rear

Right rear

Left front

Right front

What we where doing wasn't forceing the air to compress and come out enough. Tom reckons this will sort it.

So roll on this weeked. :nerv:

^^ thank you so much for this info. I bled all the brakes with a vacuum bleeder 4 times and the pedal was very soft. It would nearly go to the floor. So i bleed the brakes the normal '2 man' way and nothing changed.

I finally did it using the above method and it has come up rock hard! Way stiffer then stock CTR calipars. I was amazed at the difference. I wasn't expecting the Spoons to be much better then stock because the pad size is the same but wow it really is different and the pedal feel is insane.

Thanks again.
