My mate was at my door Monday night. His lock up in East Lothian, scotland had just been broken into. The recaros he bought from me, new exhaust mani, spoon system, skunk2 lcas, rear coil overs, rear arbs, head, cams, springs and retainers all nicked off a Jordan with a b16a2! they cut timing belt, nicked dizzy and dropped all bolts into bottom end!! Fukin scum!

Also off a blue/white b18 eg they nicked dizzy, snapped timing belt, tried to remove head, stole white alloys and others parts. Fukin mental like. They are waiting to hear from police as police found out first so not sure if they hav been caught.

So look out for parts on sale everyone please!! Feel sorry for my mate as he is only 20 and spent all his money and poured his heart and soul into his cars!!:(

Lock ups down that are quite regular at getting broken into so it's not good! Got to have been a friend of a friend who knew what was there and what they wanted! Sad sad times!

so **** after spending all that money aswell, they must know him somehow otherwise they wouldnt have thought there was any value in the parts have to be careful who you tell about these things as word gets around rapid, hope he gets his parts back and the scum are locked up !
 
This is why I'm afraid to even start a build thread anymore. Never know who's watching. Even off the forum, I'm always looking over my shoulder.

Hope you find the parts. I will keep my eyes peeled on eBay :busy:
 
As said above they must have known what was in there, il keep an eye out for bits being sold on
 
A kno guys it's the lowest of the low. Like you all say it's gotta to be someone he knos and local. Which makes it even worse! :(

That is some soul destroying stuff. Gutted for your mate. Seems like this sort of crime is on the up now. Starting to hear more and more stories :(
 
This is just out of order, Thieving scum...but to damage the engine as well...thats just mental :angry2::angry2::angry2::angry2:...hope they catch them. Do you have any pics of the parts etc, as they may be dumb enough to put a sale thread up...
 
Yea Bushell crime like this is rife now. Like said above its scary to even put up a build thread or mention where you are from incase of these kind of repercussions!! :(

A kno damaging the engine is the lowest of the low. At least I still have my b16b engine he can buy which would save him trying to sort the b16a2. Sorry got no pics. But basically parts I know of are:

Are rare deep dish alloys of a vw
White oem ek4 alloys
B16a2 head, cams etc
New neo chrome skunk2 lcas
Rear asr arb kit
Rear BC coil overs
New full spoon system
Oem ek9 red recaros with capital seating covers. Drivers covers has holes cut into them for harnesses.
Aftermarket exhaust mani
B18 and b16a2 dizzys

There was more but can't remember
 
Most parts there will be hard to find but possibly the seats with covers and the wheels if you can get pics of them and any marks ect would maybe help
 
Yea al see if my mate has any pics of the parts and will post them up. The vw wheels belonged to someone else and they were rare as hens teeth so tht was a real dull yin for th guy! :(
 
I'll keep an eye out down this way mate, that's a big list of stuff for someone to make away with !
 
Hard to track some of that stuff down tbh.
Anyone can sell a b series dizzy and lca's etc.
Hopefully they get caught. As said, either someone's seen him working in there and fancied some parts or they know him.
Sold anything to anyone who collected recently?

Yea it's a tough one to track down and bet 99% of this type never get caught. My mate says he never had anyone he never knew at th lock up so fcuk knos :(
