Stripped and strutted

whats the best way to go about stripping out the back take all the screws out and pull ??

I got spoon front and rear struts for my ek9 sunday and put them in last night..I can say they do make a differnce..But its not easy to cut up your back plastic panel..I tried my best to keep it tidy but its not to easy. But looks good now that its in

well guys stripped rear this evening and just finished cleaning down panels then brought it for a spin with all that weight out found plenty extra power did'nt think id notice it so much put will have to put all back in next week for the NCT .FCUK

Now that you've stripped a perfectly balanced car, can you feel the difference?

Just a quick question but how much weight do you save by stripping out the rear! looks good by the way

back seats spare tire and tools both side plastics and the 1 at the back and other bits of bolts and screws come to 36.5 kg

Thats half a small person!

I stripped mine fully...but added a cage so its probably heavier than when i started  hahah

it does make a nice difference in perfromance completely taking out the rear. Ive had mine stripped for a couple of months now. I drove it for 6 month with all the interior and i like teh rear out. Ive done it to all my cars at one stage lol....

Bit loud though i must say. Handling 100% feels better without the rear interior.

it will tighten the back end more, improve chassis ridigity.

Something i havnet personally felt ive needed to be honest. Its always a nice addition though, every little helps :)

only one one thing .....why they don't have the oem renfort at they end of the carpet because me my ej6 have one ????
