After fitting a DC2 (full length) radiator and a Tegiwa slim line fan to my EG6, i am yet to hear/see the fan kick in yet.
I have let it idle for over half an hour and still no sign of the fan kicking in.

Anyone think the full length, even stationary, will help keep it cool meaning no need for the fan?

Any help would be great, cheers.

You can unplug the fan switch on the thermostat to check the fan is working .

You will probably need to drive it , for it to get to full temp. especially with the full width rad.

Thats what i was thinking, ill maybe need to drive it. If i unplug the fan switch, how would this check if the fan was working?

To put it basically , its a fail safe , if the fan switch ever breaks causing an open circuit the fan will stay on.

Follow your bottom rad hose back to the block , you will see a sensor sticking into the thermostat housing beside an earth. Unplug that connector.

Can I ask how you have fitted your tegiwa fan?

I can see you are suppose to use the 'cable tie' things and slot them through the fins to mount the rad. But Just a bit concerned how that would work as the ally fins are quite delicate and how long would it take for them to get damaged having to support the fan this way on UK roads and coilovers?

p.s. I have see elsewhere that putting rubber washers between the fixing can help this.

Pacet quick mounts are decent way of doing it.
Look on demon tweeks

Thanks, yeh they look very similar to what is already provided. I may just add some kind of foam/rubber between the fixings myself to help protect the fins and absorb any movement.
