alright guys were going a trip up to inverness shortly and me and my dad have been looking for temp cover for me on his rover 75 v6 problem is that im 18 and only ben driving for 2 month so i cant find anyone to insure me for a week,
anyone know of any company that will temp cover me for a week ?
thanks in advanced,
kieran :nice:

Doubt it. Adding yourself to your Dad's current insurer will be your best bet

As above, you can be a named driver on his policy for a week.

I do it on my dads 4x4 when he goes away :)

Itll be hard to get temp cover, im 23 and have struggled to get temp cover. Most companies only insure as temp cover if your 25 plus or iuf they do insure you there strict on what sort of cars.

I'm with Admiral and I can add a temporary car to my policy for up to a month.

I've been doing it since I was 17 so they should sort you out.

Hi mate, have you tried this recently by any chance?

I rang up and went through to the foreign call centre and told me they don't do temporary. I'm with admiral already. And tips etc..?

Cheers

I don't think any of the temp cover websites will insure you because of ur age think the minimum is 21. They don't insure imports either.

Im in ireland. Im 19 and got temp cover on my das almera it cost around 250 euro for 2 months? That was with Liberty. I wasnt sure if that was good or bad but i needed to get moving!

Temp cover is almost impossible to find and even then it's expensive, worth phoning their insurance though maybe they can add you on a cover note

If you get a policy on an absolute banger, they do 3rd party cover on other vehicles on ALL policies.
That's with the co-op.
They also insure me fully comp on my CRX VT at 18 ;)
