Ok so sold the ek9 yesterday as that was my 4th one and fancied a change so bought the Pulsar in november or something for some boost action.
Hasn't even been 24 hours yet and i'm missing vtec already :((
Had a good blast in the car the last couple days and forgot how much fun it was.
Boost is awesome and i love the Pulsar but the vtec bug is hard to shake off :drive: lol

How many people have went from honda to something else and got that dirty vtec itch again ? :p

I changed my first dohc vtec car for a mitsu evolution 1 and then and evolution 3. Turbo cars are fast, but the vtec thing is something you can't forget lol. So I changed my evo 3 for a 1999 ek9 :nerv: and I'm still a Honda Vtec FAN. My love for the turbo cars only lasted 1.5 years lol.

:slap:

gav = :alone:

lol

i seen you on thursday night going up and down the queensway, it was an eye catcher! and sounded awesome!

Sold my Civc EP3 because i thougt "come on ...so much money for the car thing .... i stop that **** ^^ " ... after 1 week i missed vtec so much !!!!
After 6 Month I bought my EK9 ^^(not so easy to find one in Germany :p )

Pulsar or ek9 ? lol

The ek9 not sure if you were driving it but, im guessing you were at Automek.
The Pink writing caught my eye then put down my window and the noise was just sensational!

Ah yeah it was me lol, was doing a couple runs after the full service and that was done, does make a bit of a racket lol. Feel sorry for the new owner who drove it 8 hours down south last night/this morning with all the noise :p

i went from a glanza v turbo to honda i keep getting tempted to sell the ek9 but every time i drive it i change my mind just love the car to death its the longest ive ever kept a car and can't see me getting rid of it in the near future :)

Like i have always said and thought i would rather a car that is fun to drive and sounds good then a fast car that is not fun to drive

Made that mistake before dude sold my EK4 for a starlet Gt turbo, yeah i know its not a pulsar or anything specail but i still missed the Vtec...

The worst part is, i actually can't put my finger on what it is. its just an Inherant thing i think lol. ITS IN MY BLOOD !!!!

glad you finally sold the 9 though dude, bet it was like watching your kids leave home.. or worse lol.

Yeah know exactly what you mean man.
Ah was a bit gutted to let it go but all good things come to an end :(( :D

It's gonna break my heart when I sell my 9:(

Dont do it man, its to cool ;)

I've done exactly that Gav... I had a DC5 for nearly 2 and a half years then thought I'd have a change of car so treated myself to an 390bhp evo 8 fq320 MR which was a lot of fun. But 8 months later I sold up and brought a DC2! Haven't missed the evo 1 bit. No replacement for VTEC no matter how much power you have.

We all come back 1 way or another :drive:

I went from a Vtec to a Scoob to that to 330bhp i'sh and still come back to Honda and VTEC :woot:

But like whishy said. I now have VTEC and boost so it's a total winner

Went from my EK9 to a MK GTI. Still miss it, feel like buying another one but.....

I keep thinking at some point i'd like to try a turbo car, always wanted an Evo 8 MR but I imagine the running costs will be alot more, then I drive my EK9 and forget the boost idea lol.

I had to get a five door for family reasons, so bought a Fabia vRS mapped to 175 bhp and aaround 290lb ft torque ( not in the same league as u lot, but was still quite nippy! lol) It was fun for about 2-3 months but I missed VTEC soooo much !

Sold the furby and got an EK4 again ! I love it sooooo much, main difference being, you actually feel like you're driving the car ! Just feels so raw and just so much fun. People keep asking why I didn't get a Golf GTI/S3 etc, TBH they just feel numb !

vtec is too good a thing to not come back to. i sold my EG6 quite a few years ago now and bought a MR2 turbo, wasn't really into that so i bought a s13. and i like that but it just kept going wrong on me. i always missed vtec but
it wasn't until my mate offered me a b16a for next to nothing that i sold my s13 and bought an ej9 to start a project. so still no Vtec at the minute. but i can feel it coming and i can't wait ha.
