Mine is extremely stubborn. I tried pulling at it in different directions. I tried lifting it off with a screwdriver. Any ideas? I don't want to bend the arm or damage it, as I might use it again.

Even my EF, 10 years older, was easier than my current EK :p

Thanks.

Don't suppose you have a small bearing puller handy?

OK, try to wrap it with duck tape, cloth or whatever to protect it and tap it with a hammer (carefully) in all directions. A squirt of WD40 can also do wonders. You could try to heat it up with a hair drier as well. Pulling usually doesn't work unless you can push at the shaft at the same time (like a bearing puller would), you want impact.

Alternatively - get a bung and cut it off lol

I don't think doing a Jeremy Clarkson will do much haha, but I'll give it a go.

I've already used WD40 and nothing. Would heating the bushing affect it that much?

Do you have one of those air dusters in a can? You could heat it up a bit and then cool it down quickly (just invert the air duster), do it a couple times it might free it up. Also, you'd be surprised what a bit of light tapping can do. How long since you've hosed it with WD40?

I soaked it on Thursday. The car is rough as f**k. I hate owners who don't bother maintaining their cars, because I get stuck with this s**t :/

Where do I tap? At the base of the arm or the bushing?

Undo bolt, soak in penetrating oil. Then wiggle it like mad!
