it's a not a Civic EK9 but it's still a Honda & it's JDM.

the CBR600RR PC37, it's like the Civic Type R on 2 wheels but this one revs to 15000rpm & it doesn't need a Spoon block brace to reach those revs, like the EK9 the PC37 is born & bred for the track.

here's a few more shots during our trackday.

when i get the chance i'm going to take the EK9 for a trackday on the same track & maybe record a few laps on the video cam.

My friend has a CBR600RR, that SOB is scary fast.

Nice lookin ridin there. Wish I could take my car to a track.

U hve BIG BALLS man... driving a bike competitively on track is NOT easy... true? :win:

thanks for the nice words everyone. :nice::clap::D

yup it is physically & mentally demanding to ride competitively around the track on a sportbike, it's been a year since i last did a trackday on my bike & i can only muster 5 to 6 laps of fast paced riding & after that i'm exhausted. i need to get my stamina up if i wanna do 10 to 15laps of consistent fast paced riding.

all in all i did about 30 laps total, i would have done more but the expert & novice groups also need to have their turn as well, i ran in the intermediate groupl. in the afternoon when the other riders went home (it rained during lunch & that turned off a lot of riders but it dried up before 3pm) so we had the track all to ourselves, all 30 of us.

the track is nice & big enough for sportbikes & Formula3 racing, i'm trying to find that pic showing the track from above, i saw it before somewhere i just couldn't find it. it's 3.7kms long & it's 12m to 15m wide on some areas with a decent run off areas just in case you got in too hot.

Great pics, what tyres did you run on?

Michelin Pilot Power, not the 2CT type. confidence inspiring, nary a twitch from them evenn when i'm pushing the bike faster at the corners, it also helps a lot to have the suspension dialed in. together they are awesome. :nice:

Any favorite driver? Valentino Rossi, Casey Stoner......:D

What fascinates me about Moto GP is the huge number of overtakes!

blah blah blah 15000rpm ........

Iv got a Honda CBR 250 RR which revs to 19500 rpm! now thats more like it lol sounds like a pure F1 racing car.

Not bad for a wee 4 cyl !!!

Kinda like my toys to rev high ! lol

ah you mean "rider". i have always admired Valentino Rossi & i always try my best to copy his riding style whenever i go into the track but a lot of things keep me from doing so which needs to be dealt with in the future.

i plan on getting foot peg adapters so i can raise my pegs up for ground clearance & adjust them to my preferences, i also need to replace my handle bars with a more downward angle so i can shift my shoulders more towards the inside of the corner.

i also need a new suit as my old ones don't permit me to move freely as i want it to be, prior to this trackday i bought a new pair of gloves & boots & those alone cost me $600.

if you haven't tried sportbikes i suggest you should if you can & get ready for a whole new different kind of fun, you'll enjoy it more if you take it to the track. :nice:

i love your bike which year is it ????

it's a 2003-2004 model, it's still got conventional forks & calipers, the 2005-2006 models have upside down forks & radial mount calipers & is much lighter & has more midrange power.

it has a few mods like HEL SS brakelines, SBS sinter pads, Renthal sprocket (equivalent to having a MF ring & pinion gear), EK gold chain, WP steering damper, Polini slip-on exhaust pipe (equivalent to a Spoon midpipe & N1 muffler).

here's short video clip of me ripping it up at the main straight.

is the the one with an S-Frame? those are the only CBR250RR's worth getting, those bikes are sweet & they would make for a nice track bike, 45hp at the crank isn't bad for a 250cc 4stroke 4banger, fitted with a nice exhaust system, a rejet & a sprocket change that bike can give some 400's a run for their money. in stock form however it takes quite a while to reach 19500rpm especially in higher gears but the exhaust note is fantastic when you reach those revs. :D

even though the 600RR only revs to 15000rpm it puts out 120hp at the crank so it requires more skill & finesse with the throttle to ride it fast around the corners. :nono:

seriously...when i visit the phils, i need to hit you up hahaha. u have both an ek9 and bike! nice! never met anyone in the PI that's a fellow rider. mine is an 06 gsxr1000

great bike you have there bro, there are lots of GSXR1K riders as well as other sportbike riders over here only they don't take it out very much like we do. what mods have you done to the gixxer?

as for the birds eye view of the track go here; Batangas Racing Circuit

dowload "the batangas racing circuit profile" & view it with microsoft powerpoint. lots of info about the track which includes the aerial view of the track.

there is also another track being constructed in Clark Pampanga & it's a lot closer to my place than Batangas.

track has good long straights! sure ur bike does a faster lap than ur '9'..?

as for GP drivers Rossi is the GOD in the sport... i got his autographs in person on some stuff!! :nice: this year he will be back to best form...

thanks for sharing pics & vid :nice:

i haven't taken my EK9 yet to the track, the fastest lap times for bikes in this track is around 1'45 to 1'42, F3 cars are much faster with lap times in the 1'25 range, for race prepped Honda Civics i don't know yet but i'll try to find out some lap times.

i wish him well this season, Stoner is still the man to beat this year but it's mainly bcoz of the bike, put Rossi on the same level bike that he's got & see him destroy Stoner.
