top Speed?

Just purley for intrest, what is the top speed of the EK9 Type R B16B?

Once i get mine id never be tempted to see for myself lol
 
I remember once I saw in a site that is 230 km/h but I'm not sure if this is the correct even though it should be somewhere their. Mine has the speed limiter at ~ 210 km/h when the needle touches "R". Don't think that is scary or anything if you try it in the highway road, but ONLY there :shocked:
 
i think we had a thread about this a while back and we all came to the conclusion it was around 155mph
 
I don't want toknow, and don't intend to find ot. the most I have gone is roughly 195/200 kmh, I won't risk going any faster in case the engine blows

oh it wont blow up, in case you dont know i took mine to 16,000 rpm and all that got damaged was the rod/main bearings, the car was still fast too, i only found out becuase i took off my oil pan for something else.

if thats not enough there is a vid on here of RVM doing an uphill run, he stays at like 7500-8700 rpm for over a minute!!
 
I really can't tell, but I can share this video of my car giving a lot more of 180 km/h.

I really doubt that an untouched EK9 is able to reach 250 km/h in a straight road. Surely can do that in a downhill. I will be convinced if and only if I see a video of an untouched EK9 running a 185 hp B16B engine. If anyone has a video already please let me know :nice:
 
Well in Glasgow theres quite a scene for Japanese cars apparently there called 'Team Doubt' what they do is sit and stretches of motorway and race each other with people at each joining ramp with radios to warn of any unwelcome visitors (ie Traffics) and let each other know, its only rumor but Traffic cops are a rare sight in Glasgow these days, but im intrigued to find out more!!!

ive done it :) but my car is a lot lighter then an ek9 im at like 2250lbs without me in it, plus i had aftermarket header/intake/60mm exhuast/liten flywheel everything else was stock, i hit vtec in 5th gear which means i was over 6000rpm and my speedo was maxed out (140mph) and still going.

i know mine was modded but still, i think a stock one can do 140+mph no problem. 155 might take some time on a flat road but i think its possible.
 
i got a new ecu for my car the other day.dont know wat type it is tho.but anyway the limiter is now off and i've had my speedo needle a good bit past where it is in that video.how far along does the needle stop moving
 
ive pushed my ek4 past the clock (220) without reaching 8000rpm 5th gear couple times...only highway! :D

I've seen recently a video on youtube, a silver Skyline GTR was heavily beaten by a McLaren F1. Actually, the launch was more or less the same but then the Skyline disappeared from the screen :nerv:
The F1's driver got off the car at the end of the airstrip and was waiting for the Skyline to come :shocked: I hope the Skyline was not yours :nerv:
 
Ne one seen the 400BHP pulsar beating the Viper SRT-10 on you tube>?
A guy gets given 25k to mod a car and he comes up with a very sexual GTiR Pulsar, it absolutey destroys the 550bhp SRT-10 its a very good video i beleive its viki butler henderson thats presenting it on 5th gear!

About 150 mph mate which for a 1.6 n/a is very good 155mph pushed hard down hill with a tail wind :D lol
