Item for sale: A pair of R888 tires (used) R15/50/195

Price: £50 delivered (TO UK) Will be more overseas

Location: Surrey/London

Condition: Part worn, Still road legal

Description: One tire has a screw in as shown in picture. It has barley nipped through the other side, but i would suggest repairing the tire. I will leave screw in.

That tyre has had it mate, you can't legaly repair that tyre and you won't find a garage that will.

Why is it not repairable mate? Surely it can be patched up no?
 
It could be easily repaired in Ireland, no hassle, just a quick plug job, works perfect!
 
Fair doooz.........

What i'll do is leave them up for sale, if someone thinks they can repair it, they can buy them. Use them for track or whatever they choose to do.
 
If you could get a picture up from a different angle of where the screw goes in it could make it easier for people
 
The screw is not on the side wall, its on top. I think this picture is pretty clear where the screw is to be honest. I could take another angle, might help like you say.
 
It looks like it is to close to the sidewall to be repaired mate, there has to be enough distance between the puncture and the sidewall for a repair plug to be fitted without touching the sidewall for it to be repairable

Dont know what saftey implications there could be if you repaired that but i know my garage wouldnt allow that to be repaired.. id imagine youd really struggle to find one that would repair it tbh

As i said, i'll leave this up, if anyone thinks they can do something with the tire then cool. PM if there is any interest.
