bought these several years ago when they first were launched, didnt rate them and always said id never run set again even if given free

driven round in ek9 at the mo that has these on, horrendous tyre, clearly not suited to ek9, on par with cheap and nasty budget tyre

just brought back old memories :)

I have them currently on my sir and to be honest I find good enough tyres for daily driving, but yea I woudnt bring them on to the track, the side wall is very soft on them and grip is not the best but they are good value for money

i wouldnt even rate them as good on road, aweful, depends on term, "value for money", i gather these go dirt cheap nowadays and 1 and only reason people still buy them, surely must be other dirt cheap tyres on market that do better this

the worst tyre's i've ever used on my ek9. Found them far to wobly on the side walls feels like u'r driving on jelly. I use bridgestone re01r's now the difference is amazing, much harder sidewalls and just generally better handling.
I used 2 use t1r's on my old car with 17's and found them to be alright in the lower profile i think it's just the large sidewalls on the higher profile when u really notice how bad they are.

"jelly"

perfect example, having a laugh to myself thinking exact same thing, was picturing birds eye trifle rolling on each wheel

I could not agree more. Im running these up front at the minute and cannot stand them. Trying to rinse them out so i can put the 2 other handkooks on in my garage!

I was going to get these for my ek9 but they were out of stock so I got rs2's.. Glad I did now..

They are definately a daily wet weather tyre and no more .. I have them on mine mine which I drive everyday , brilliant in the wet but push it in the dry....:nono:. Common to see the letters on the side scrubbed off , thats how soft the sidewall is .

I had RE01r's before and had to say they were great even for how old the design is! , alot more feedback (harder wall) with them. Im saving for my Ad08 Neovas :woot: which are the new age RE01r basically

rs2 is very good tyre, need lot of temp in them before they really shine though

ive just ordered set of AD08 for my other ek, tried ad07 few times many years ago and loved them, stop using them few years ago as importing set every year was costing me fortune and no one over sold them back then

you are not comparing them though with similar tyres as for money. In similar price you can find falken 912 and some kumho

im not comparing them to anything, the toyo is plain and simple a **** tyre,

kumho ku31 is a better tyre though, ive tried it, budget but ok for daily use, i dont even trust the t1r for daily use

KU31, fantastic tyre i currently have 4 on my car, done over 1500miles and pushed it really hard on them!! £34 a corner, there pretty good value for money too!!

problem is after taking massive step down to ku31 from high end tyres i just cant run the kumho again hence goin for ad08, gonna kill me in the wallet but tyres are so important, i can take ad08 on track as well and not be worried and have some ok fun

if you dont track or push car on roads all the time ku31 is ok

i just put toyo t1r on my car yesterday they seem ok. i got a track day on sunday at rockingham hope they going to beok

has anyone tried the advan ad08? was thinking of switching to the when the bridgestones run out? not heard anything about them though.

x100

but theyre good in the wet. Thats the only thing good about them.

I think they feel slippery in the wet and there is a lack of feel in the tire.

It is hard to get a tire to actual perform in the wet though. There is only a certain amount of grip its going to have.
