I ordered 2x 52385-SR3-000 today for my EK9.

Can any one else confirm that they installed the same part number in their EK9.

Also from looking over at this Thread on Honda Tech there is another part number thats for the CRV and has a slightly different part number, 52385-SR3-003.

Has any one tried this bushing, and is there a difference in rubber thickness in them, and would it improve the rear end feel?

I want some thing thats slightly firmer for track use, than the standard bush, but dont want to go as far as using a poly bush...

I replaced mine with Mugen ones, slightly more solid than OEM and you get none of the problems you get with the harder poly bushes.

Just stick to the one that was designed for your car mate, honda wouldnt have went to all that detail designing the type - r models chassis and suspension for another unit from a conpletley different type of car to be better.

Heres a very useful link on rta bushes and why its important to get the specific one for your car :nice:

I get what your saying thats why im not going with the Poly bushes.

Im wondering if there is an OEM bush thats fits and has got a slight bit more rubber in it? wondering what people have used or is everyone using the 52385-SR3-000 bush, like i ordered.

That link did give me a good read over on ITR forum, i understand the purpose of the bush much better now..

I understand you want something a bit harder for track use as lets be honest it's a alot different from road use, I was looking into various options and found that a lot of people use 1.8 VTi Aerodeck bushes which have a more solid looking design. And I reckon the RTA bushes are down to preference of the driver and the drivers style, the OEM bush may seem a bit too compensating for a hardcore track driver.

My dad installed solid poly bushes on his DC2 and I put some on my old EJ9, They definitely took the "floatiness" out of the rear end which was mostly down to the previous worn bushes, but we both came to the conclusion we did get more oversteer and lost some stability and grip at the rear, which personally I liked.

This time however, I am going to try some OEM bushes from an aerodeck or similar as I use the track a bit :nice:. Always like to try these different options.

Always loved Honda's thinking around the rear suspension design!

so the aerodeck has a tougher bush?

whats the part number on that?

Honda gave me 52385-st3-go1. I did notice a difference on the rear after try we're fitted but mine were quite worn :nice:

I havent come across that part number yet..

does anyone know for sure if the part number i have is the correct EK9 trailing arm bush?

52385-SR3-000

what about filling the EK9 bush with windowbond?

I'd like to know this as well, want to be sure to order the correct bushing.

The Mugen RTAs are identical to OEM, apparently Mugen decided OEM was good enough.

Can someone confirm that 52385-SR3-000 fits? There are also different diameters.

Also is it one part number for both sides? In the EPC it comes up as Bushing RR (rear right?)

Any info would be appreciated!

Yeah that part number is correct, bought some about 3-4months ago.
They are the same left and right.

I did alittle research on the rta before deciding on oem, Honda engineered the bush to toe in under hard braking, this gives the car decent stability. A hard bush won't allow the whole rear arm system to work the way Honda intended.

^^

Yeah, thats why I'm going with OEM.

Under breaking the toe in is increased making the rear a bit more stable.

That's the one, I'm sure there is more too it than that but that's all I understand so far.
