Liking this alot matey.
I am slightly confused though. I know you are unable to buy aftermarket b16b rods,as they have to be custom made. Does this mean you can use aftermarket b18c pistons and rods then instead for the b16b?
So the b18c pistons fit the b16b rods? Would forged pistons and b16b rods be a better combo for boost or are the stock b18c pistons good enough for a low boost setup?
goodluck on the build. i would just suggest that maybe 300whp is the max for a real reliable setup as stock rods won't be able to last that long on that amount of power

That's what the man said, and obviously forged is always stronger and better but it's not always in the budget. Cast pistons with a low power setup with proper tuning will hold up just fine.
I didnt exactly "go up" in bearing specs. The bearings i had, i wernt happy with the clearences even you know they were with in honda's spec's. So i worked out which honda bearings to get and used them instead and got the clearences where i wanted them.
Right then guy's & girl's, i have begun to stick it all together today. So far so well, everythink fits quite good, beter than i originally thought anyway. There was one 3" pipe where i had to saw a bit off so i could get the air filter to fit properly (you can see this in the pictures). Also i had to extend one of my 10an hoses and have the fitting coming out of my rocker cover facing the right instead of the left like before.
If all goes to plan then hopefully i should be able to start street mapping it tomorrow. I'm just consentrating on the fueling for the mean while as i want it to be more or less spot on before it touch the ignition.
Man today was such a busy day lol, i managed to finally complete the build side of things. It took me the best part of today to peice it together (working like a paranoid snail checking over everything in detail) but it was well worth it as i hate rushing anything. There was a few things what i put on yesterday what i had to take off because i wern't happy with them (been the fussy F*#ker what i am).
Here's some more pictures anyway guy's. Take notice to where i have placed the IAT sensor (intake air temperature) this is because of the inlet manifold getting heat soaked causing the sensor to give false air temperature reading which can be a pain whilst tuning.
Anyway, i did take it out for a little spin when i had finished and had a play with the AFR's and believe me i still have a big now. The sound of the turbo & dump valve is nice, i personally prefer it to my car stereo lol.
Any questions feel free to ask, i'll keep you updated on the tuning which might take a while to get done properly.
