guys please help my Filipino brothers and sisters thru donations or at least prayers and wishes. though I may not be affected directly, I have a dozen or so friends and relatives who were badly hit. some of them lost all their belongings, other unlucky ones lost their lives or a loved one's. this has never happened before in our history. all the sources say that this poured more water than Hurricane Katrina in just a couple of hours. Several hundreds of bodies were already found, and a thousand more or less are still missing.

any form of help would truly be appreciated. thanks smile.gif
 
This happen Saturday? I don't have television so i miss out on a lot of news... I have A LOT of Philipino friends, I'm surprised i didn't hear about this...

yup this happened last saturday.i remember feeling down because i heard a drag race schedule was cancelled. little did i know the extent of this typhoon until someone called me up to check if I was ok.

there was a guy in honda-tech living in the US who posted that he lost his sister in this...

UPDATE ON MY SISTER:

She was on the way to work with her bf when the heavy rain started to pour. She got stuck in traffic near Masinag market because flood started the rise. She turned around and headed back home but where ever she headed, she was blocked by flood. She and her boyfriend parked near a supermarket and waited till the water subsided, well.. it didn't... the water continued to rise. Her boyfriend got out of the car to look for help. When he came back, the car was not there anymore and was taken away by the flood. My sister's car was found a few blocks 2 days later under a pile of other cars. She didnt leave the car causing her to drown. They found her body still in the car with the seatbelt on and a rosary around her hand.. My family is on our way back to philippines this wednesday. We were still shocked.Since saturday night, i felt sick already and i had a real bad feeling that i couldn't explain, its like something is really bothering me. Coudn't really express how devastated i am. A horrible reminder that life can just end like that to anyone. I hope other members continue to get in touch with their love ones.

i don't care if it's gay or anything but i teared also when i first read that..

as it turns out that typhoon went to Vietnam and destoyed alot too there... simultaneously there's also that earthquake in Indonesia and that Tsunami in Samoa... what the hell is happening...???!?!
 
wow! sad not a big issue on tv, but that's how it is here..lot's of prayers
