Hey
I have a saloon Honda Civic Saloon fitted with TenzoR lowering springs. They drop the car by 2.5 inches. I have 15" alloys and the tyres(195/15/50) are wearing unevenly. I understand the camber is off when its lowered but the back wheels aren't wearing the same. Anyone got any words of inspiration? Do I need a camber kit to straighten the wheels?

Thanks

you need to upoload a pic to see how the wear is spread throughout the tyre. There might be something wrong with your toe. If you have an EK the rear camber should be way too more than the front one.

Most likely your toe causing a problem. When you lower a car your toe kicks out causing excessive wear. If your camber is uneven then you'll need a kit also. Would recommend camber adjusters and a FULL allignment, camber, castor and TOE!

I think a simple wheel alignment will sort the problem.
He shouldn't need the full camber/caster adjustment, its been lowered on springs which shouldnt give a huge drop.
Personally I would try the wheel alignment first and see how you get on.

Camber kit won't neccesarily cure this

Wear on the inside will be the result from excessive toe-out, or on the outside of the tyre from too much toe-in

Also on the rear tyres, you can sometimes get wear on both the inside and outside, sort of patchy wear which can be from worn RTA bushes as when these bushes wear they cause the trailing arms to wander slightly which puts more stress on the tyres

As mentioned though full alignment will help alot, although castor is not adjustable as standard, having the front castor measured will give you a good idea if any bushes are worn/suspension arms damaged etc
