Update on H-swap EK

Sup guys,

Been busy these few days, lots of work everyday and as I get home, super exhausted.

So today was a bit slow, got home at 3pm but was a bit exhausted so took a nap and decide to go at the objective I was suppose to a while back: make a plate to protect the shift cable from elements getting inside.

This was from the cut out I did back in 2017 (first time doing the cutout so never knew much)

The cut out I made for the cables.
Fun Fact: I had this plate since 2015...I always keep things incase need to improvise:nice:

Pull the rubber piece up so it can act as a form or protection.

Sadly I ran out of high temp primer so never got to apply that (forgot i used it on another item and forgot to purchase).
I use the high temp paint and high temp clearcoat but before spray, I wirewheel the dirt and grime off and cleaned it with brake cleaner and wipe down cause wanted to use the sun heat to bake it in.

Took this as I finish sprayed up.

Had my buddy look after them while I go inside and watch some EK9 videos on youtube.

In 6mins, a sudd en down pour of rain came and I manage to run out and dry it off, the main componet was still good, paint dried from the heat. The cap had dried but however it got a lil messy but not so recognisable.

Great news guys..... the engine starts!!!! :nerv: :run:

just need to get need marine cable to run from the battery and a better starter wire. Then get it carried down for wheel alignment, wheels rotate and balance and check on the brake system.

We got a big car meet in the next 2 weeks but ofcourse I wont make it :(

Gotta do new ground wire and connectors for the grounding and starter wire.

Also I will be making a box to protect the Shifter spot so dirt and elements dont get in and make a custom length flange that will work with the stock CTR piping and the 3" which I also have quite possibly place on after.

Order yourself some 25mm2 cable from eBay and fittings. you make make some great wires a fraction of price big brands to them for. If you want i can send you links via dm and you find your country equivalent?

Sure bro, p/m the link, i use a company that has a warehouse based in miami so can get it shipped out easy.

So i forgot to take photos of the flange made but it's in and drained the fuel yesterday and placed in fresh fuel since 22-Aug-20 was the last this car was on and the same day I put fuel in the whip.

So today I went to get spark plugs because these terrible ones were to be removed.:nono:

Car is still hesitant and mosquitoes literally swarming us.

I had pulled the map sensor to see something but now car isn't starting, seems the starter is licked which i hope not but here is a photo of the headlights in.

Wheel alignment was completed on tuesday and took it for a drive, drives nice but just need to sort the starting issue cause not getting signal to the starter and it would go dead on me for no reason, still alot of kinks to be sorted.

Here is a shot from today ordeal.

Went to assist a buddy out, front UCA and Shifter cables, got the cables sorted but the controls arms weren't fitting for some reason but he ordered some.
So back to mines, rn it's running a bit lean for some reason so may go to get the injectors clean see if thats the issue. My buddy is wiring the radio and gauges in, i didnt get to grab a photo of them but will the next time, they look so good!:nerv::x:

So i forgot to show the photos of some RAYS aluminum tire valve stems for the rims to spice it up a bit that I placed in. Can't see them much in the photo but they're there.

These are how they look.

So I got word from 2 people that they tend to leak so was gonna go carry them back and refund them back but then I got a idea.

Gasket maker on the inside and out so it doesn't leak and then make sure everything is tighten properly for no air leak.

It seemed to had did the trick 0 leaks at all.
