USA - San Diego California: New EK9 Owner

yea that guy wants WAY too much 23K for stock one, built that's another matter. I was hoping around the 15-16K mark myself I've wanted this car forever even when my friends were all on the ITR bandwagon. I don't care how it takes me I'm single and my monthly bills are 100$ a month. I'm not settling for any other car but this one. btw how many real ctrs are there in the usa? i can count 6 that i know of. thanks for the info

Yes, gives about an extra inch of strut play. I have no idea how it rides since I can only drive it around the block.

Here is a pic of the rear:

nice thanks, did you gut the car yourself? you need to remove the seatbelts and misc brackets.

I do everything myself. I am "gutting" it to prep for paint, not track. I like my **** clean - full interior. :nice: I am not painting the inside, just don't want overspray and people to steal my **** at the paintshop. :)

wow, thats pretty overkill just for a paint job, but hey to each his own, you paid a lot for your car, i understand your concerns. what are your plans for it? what color? is it going to be a clean street car? are you ever gonna track it? just cause a car is gutted dosent mean its not clean. but a gutted street car is just stupid.

Can't be overkill, if everything was easy to get over here then I wouldn't mind. Same color. Clean daily driven street car. Nah, won't track it. I am over gutted cars. If its gutted, it better runs 11s or better in the 1/4.

i understand what your saying, if i had a real deal ek9 i would probably keep it super clean, but mine is just a converted ej6. its guted but its a purpose built rr car, not a dd.

i agree since cali's honda theft rate is very very high keep that ride safe and secure. yea don't gut a real ctr completely i'd only take out the rear seats, but keep the rear panels and maybe underneath the dash and places you can't see, semi-full interior i guess. good luck with the ride, keep me posted

great job, i wonder how much time it'll take you to put it back together.

omg. who new a ctr could look so ugly :) i know it will look beautiful when your finished though, did you get it registered yet?
