I am planning on putting a v6 acura t.l 3.2 motor into my hatchback what do you guys think? Right now i have a k20a2

agreed thats guna be a headache, get the s2000 engine and get them rear wheels spinning :p

Looks like it will be too heavy on the front, almost impossible to make a fast corner.

I like the idea, But understeer could be a problem.

With the roads in america though that engine would be really nice.

personally i would turbocharge it before i would even chance such a swap . turbo will produce better figures and you will have a TURBO !

Dosile as in revs and drives like a ford, to me it just didnt perform like a honda should or normally does it didnt seem to have the revs though had bags of torque low down, Iv dont near 3 years of development now on the K series and by far the best set up IMO is the 2.3 stroked K20A2 high reving Vtec screemer, Just my opinion though :)

Any vids on these race cars :naughty:

Also i wouldnt do such a swap mate, unless i suppose youre building for straight line!

Does that mean its not as responsive?

I know some tuners don't stroke their cars just because they will loose the engines responsiveness (Mines R34 GTR for example).

Yeh for us there just wasnt enough response from it.

Ill try find some vids out i have loads from racedays etc.. think i have one of the dyno pull we did last week

Or you could come see the cars yourselfs were at cadwell this weekend

cool cool thanks for sharing! i think a guy Gerry at performance Tek in glasgow has a k24 in his eg civic and it hasnt performed too well so far and I wasnt impressed by it at Crail!

But that vtec screamer sounds good! How much would that cost in total to put in my EK9 if you do it personally?? you could PM me if you like!! :naughty:

A fully Built screemer K series Engine would cost in the region of 8k to build

for this you would have a over 300bhp N/A and 210ftlb from 5k rpm, This is a fully custom built Buddyclub race engine, with very little off the self parts.

We do have more fast road builds available packages for these start at 3.5k with a good donor engine and they will give a guarenteed 275bhp if you combine the package with our tried and tested products, it even comes with a turn key map for Kpro.

I know looking at one engine for 3.5k with 275bhp and one for 8k with 300bhp only sounds like 25bhp difference but its not the whole power and torque curve is from low down in the revs the race engines make more power and torque at 5000rpm than a stock 22bhp DC5 engine does at full chat!
