Very dissapointed in Hond-r now...

I reckon you should just stick to this forum now you have an EK9 Ian:p

Glad you thought my previous post was kinda valid. I always try to be honest & dont pull any punches. I can seem blunt towards people at times but make no apologies for being direct!:)

This place is awesom! :D

I think your post was factual.. Opinions get people in trouble

Hmmm I know this is old...but I feel I need to weigh in here. I was looking for Honda specialists to take my car to earlier today and was recommended Hond-R by Eurospec2000 who weren't able to resolve my issue.

Having decided to pursue the lead, I googled Hond-R and saw this post in the Google results; nevertheless, I decided to contact them myself and inquire further.

Marios to my surprise was supportive, enthusistic and incredibly helpful in talking me through my issue. Having decided that my car required further inspection, he asked me to drive up to his garage EVEN though he had a job lined up that was going to take him into the early hours of the morning!

As soon as I arrived, he wasted no time in seeking to diagnose my fault, employing meticulous techniques and (in my opinion) displaying a depth of knowledge about Hondas i've never experienced in all my time as a Honda enthusiast and having owned 7 Hondas in that time.

He was able to supply and fit new parts which have since shown to have improved and all but eliminated my issue along with a nice discount. This is the culmination of months of diagnostics with little or no luck!

I myself have had many bad experiences with Honda 'specialists' and mechanics alike, so I feel the need to champion the people in this niche business that go above and beyond what is normally considered acceptable. Marios is one of those rare few.

Ye every body makes mistakes, gets bad reviews. Its very hard to run a buisness and never have sum 1 say a bad word about you. But how you improve, treat your customers etc,and resolve situations is how you keep repeat buisness.

Not being cheeky here mate but that whole post just made me think that's someone from honda-r commenting to help with business. A simple he did a good job I'm my experience would have done that's y these guys have reputation threads on different forums. Some people have good experiences and bad unfortunately guys with good experiences recommend them and when another try they get ripped off seen it happen 1st hand buy a business who were supposedly awesome and only place to take your car haha guys who were recommending this new absolutely nothing about Hondas lol personally I will only let very few touch my car and research there work before hand to make sure they are continually top notch that my friend is near impossible to find

I'm the same. I only let a select few touch my car and I have to say that Hond-R are one if those.
These guys have always helped me out. I would recommend them to anyone.
The most important thing about them for me is that it doesn't feel like they are doing it to make money out of me but for the love of Hondas.

I understand you concerns about the validity of my post but if you look back at my history on here and ITR DC2, you'll see no evidence of me having any connections to Hond-R until yesterday.

My problem stems from almost being put off myself, having seen this thread in the Google search results. Had I not decided to ignore the negativity stemming from one person, I would not have ventured to find out for myself, thus leading me to have my long standing and frustrating issue sorted.

I'm definitely an advocate for championing people that do good work in this business and I know the knock-on effect it can have on people desperately looking for a trustworthy mechanic for these cars.

And THAT is the crucial difference IMO.

Surprised at this thread, I have been a Hond-R customer for a long time now, having come from someone who claimed they were honda specialists (won't list names), They have gone the extra mile always and as Boyle said, I can leave my car with them and sleep easy that its in safe hands, Maz and Rus are the best in the business for quality of work and the service they provide.

I would recommend them to anyone.

C'mon people this was posted back in 2009. Was there really a need for a re-bump..
