Honda set the vtec at 6200 rpm for the EK9, so any EK9 you see kicking below or over 6200 rpm has alrtered vtec point. Mine kicks at 5800 because I've changed it.Says under my username buddy, EK9.
So it's normal? All the EK9 vids I've seen have VTEC change-over points well under 6000rpm. They must have lowered them, then?
Using rvm's vid here as an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NiqTGe77PSw
Clearly well under 6000rpm, and in his spec it says his engine is fully stock?
What you say most probably is true because analog and digital are just two different worlds!!! So, I believe that all EK9s have their needle pointing to 6200 rpm when it kicks but the actual rpm is 6000rvm has a phearable ecu and chip, his vtec has been altered, when i was using a factory ek9 ecu it was crossing over at 6000rpm, most digital displays also show 6000rpm, i believe it looks like 6200 due to the inacurate factory tach, but i believe stock cross over is 6000

Now?Hello! My engine is fully stock, but I have a chipped ecu, when I used the stock ecu, the vtec kicked in about 6000 - 6200 RPM
Now?
You should be if it was 45005800
You should be if it was 4500
hahaha, no power at all there..
