Waxoyl/Underseal required

Hi

Spotted some rust around the car today! :angry:

My wheel arches (rear driver side noticeable, driver side not so bad) have developed rust on them.

Whats the best way to treat them? Take the car to a Body shop? DIY?

Does anybody know of a reputable garage that can waxoyl/underseal my JDM EK in the Birmingham, West Midlands area?

I'm not to keen on doing it myself! :nono:

just get your hands dirty and do it yourself.

you will know its done properly if you do it yourself

unless your useless.lol
 
I done mine myself last saturday, never again i got more on myself than i did on the car lol, used that spray system then gave up with that and used a brush.

I was thinking about using that spray system! Might just use a brush!

Did you use waxoyl?

Also I take it you went under the arches/slam panel and under the car?

How long did it take? I'll have to cover exhaust, breaks etc right?

dont cover the exhaust as it might catch fire or smell like burning

yea the arches need a good coat more than anything.

i used hammerite on my saxo and its seems ok.and garaunteed for 5 years not to rust

cant beat that with a stick
 
With Waxoyling, can you put it straight onto rust? (little rust even)
 
yeah, it has a chemical built in that actually works to eat any rust thats already present, id only use it on slight surface rust though, nothin greater than that
 
Cool man, I'm going to be doing my arches next week!

Would I need 2 litres of waxoyl to do just the arches?

Is it a common problem for civics to have their rear arches rust first? Seen quite a few threads about it on other forums!
