hi ive just changed my coilovers to weitec sports shocks and springs could'nt handle the hard ride anymore! they were second hand but fantastic condition. problem is the cars totally slammed on the front and sitting what looks to me quite high on the rear about 40-50 mm away from the tyre
anybody else ever fitted these before also is there a possability they were not for my ek4 sir like it said in the ad. can you fit salon shocks i mean but they wont sit right because of different weights etc
cheers

Have them on mine.
They are a really good shock. Handle really well on the twisties without sacrificing comfort.
Get a c-spanner and adjust the height. It's a coilover after all;)

no mate ive taken my bilstein coilovers off and fitted weitec sports shocks and springs as i cant be doing with coilovers, too hard
cheers for replying though

dude check you havent put the rear springs on the front and the front on the rear
try that then see if it evens it out
saloon and hatchback shocks are the same regardless as the weight difference is marginal
hope this helps

cheers mate had'nt thought of that as they were already put together with the top mounts when i brought them, but thats not to say they other guy didnt put them on wrong

i was about to swap the front and rear springs and i noticed that the rear springs are wound alot tighter at the top then the fronts which have the same distance from top to bottom anybody know why this is and does it sound like they could be round the wrong way. Dont want to spend all afternoon changing them for no reason
thanks
