I'm looking to buy an Induction kit for my Civic Jordan. I was just wondering if anyone has used both and could tell me which is better. The only thing puttin me off the AEM at the moment is that i use my car every day and in all weather conditions so I would not want the filter to get wet and cause hydro lock. Also is the tegiwa whales p*enis any good or is it better to go for a more J's racing or password jdm?
Any Help would be much appreciated.

Duncan

I had a V1 and destroyed an engine with it, I would advise steering well clear.

I have a top fuel whale's p*nis, Sounds good, looks good and once i get a better air feed to it, will help it too.

Had a V2 on my VTI with a hydro-shield with no issues what so ever. But if you do decide to try and drive through massive puddles then it could cause issues!

Had a J's on my Integra did not like it too much seemed to suffer from heat soak. Then i swapped it for an OEM box with Blitz filter and cold air feed which imo made the car run better and to me seemed to get better results.

So my opinion would be an OEM box with cold air feed, then V2 in second place as long as you avoid large amounts of water which is common sense in my eyes!

Our intake got a 3.3bhp gain over the OEM ITR Airbox and that was without a cold air feed going to it! :nice:

Password JDM one is good, I'm
Running one. Makes a good noise, felt better when I put it on, but when it was on the dyno my intake temps where rather high, put a cold air feed on it and is better. Could do with a shield of some sort though!

I have a v2 with hydrosheild...Wouldnt get anything other. Unless i can get a mugen kai :D

i have a j's racing whale ***** with a simple heat shield and cold feed.no heat soak even during track days. i'll post some pictures soon.

I have a zenky racing whale intake on my EK4 and I really like the sound it makes when I'm WOT !

I never tried OEM intake so I can't compare ...

Don't you want to develop an heat shield or a kind of Airbox for your whale intake at tegiwa imports ?

Another intake which is expensive (and very rare) but seems to give very impressive results with mid & High performance N/A setups is the ELR airbox.
