Ive sold my b18c ek9 to a member on here, and i miss it already. :angry2:

Where do most people go from ek9's. I been trying to talk myself into going sensible but i dont think i can do it, ill get bored.

I do want an s2k but insurance is ridiculous (more than an evo) i want a turbo as ive always had N/A.

Im thinking Evo 6/8.

I know they are expensive to maintain, it will probably see 2-5k miles a year like the ek9 did as i have a daily. I hopefully want to do some track days and maybe ring sometime in the future as i found out today that my new job runs its own sprint series and alot of them do trips round europe to SPA and NURBURG etc. if i had known this last week i probably woudnt of sold my 9.

Budget i would say £8-8-5k.

Any ideas?

dc5 would be the obvious choice, alot of members on here have gone from ek9 to dc5....but they usually come back again:)

Nah, i dont think i could buy another ek9 after building that one.

I dont want a dc5 as ive had a 230bhp ep3 pretty much similar.

Ive been looking at e46 M3's also, but i would like to taste the turbo i think.

Turbo is great. Evo ways springs to mind

everyone goes from EK9 to DC5 5weeks later back to EK9, sorry if this starts an arguement... but if you want a drivers car for around the price you are looking at EK9 DC2 S2000 EG6 sir. FD2 if you have the funds!!! any other honda will be nowhere near as good as your ek9.

i was looking at evo 6's tommy mak editions but the running costs on them are a fortune! but if you have the money EVO 6 or e46 m3! my thoughts anyway ;)

Buy yourself a MK5 GTI or an edition 30 if u can stretch to that budget. Comfort, refinement, quick and they handle well. Can get really well specked ones too.

Stage one with a full exhaust on and edition 30 will see u at around 300bhp

Agree with black 9. The MK5 gti's do look the nuts with very little done to em and performance wise they are good too. The "only" thing i can critisize is that it is a lot more refined than the ek9.... some people think thats a good think others don't. The ek9 always has you on edge.

I've been round the houses, had ek9's, then went german for a bit, now got a JDM EP3 and love it... i would recommend a JDM EP3 all day long!

Only thing about JDM ep3 is that they are group 20 insurance. Ive already had an ep3 so dont really want to get the same car.

S15. Could get a nice one for that and have a bit of change for a few mods.
