I'm about to do a 5 lug conversion for my 1996 Honda Civic hatchback. Can you guys tell me all the parts I need to get to have a successful conversion? Thanks.

here is a picture for reference with exactly what you need...........everything is straight bolt on.....

I might buy a 5 lug conversion that has the E-brake lines CUT. Am I able to still use my stock E-brake lines/cable from the 1996 Honda Civic CX hatchback [4-lug, rear drum brakes] and switch it over to the 5 lug kit?

No, you wont be able to use the same hand brake cable or flexi hose off a drum set up for a disc :nice:

All you need in theory are the actual front hubs, will fit in your old uprights and a set of rear wheel bearings which include the hubs and again should fit your old uprights, this method would also mean you have a full set of new wheel bearings, replacing drums should be very similar with the addition of the hand brake cables

Ive done this before and ran into some problems. I fitted 98spec teg-r brakes at the same time.
Problems:
1. Make absolutely sure your wheel bearings are OK. My front left was in bits.
2. Have a spare set of handbrake cables handy. When i took mine off, the part where they bolt onto the rear caliper was siezed and i ruined the cable trying to get it off.
3. If your converting your brakes as well, make sure tyou get the rear caliper brackets from a teg-r or CTR as they are different from a VTI.
4. Make sure theres a good bit of meat left on your discs. If theres a lip on them now would be a good time to get it removed.
5. Check pads and replace if nessesary and same for brake lines.
6. Grease up the threads on the hub studs with some copper grease.
