what ecu to run?

well lads i no theres loadsa threads up bout ecus etc and i was searchin etc but still dont no wat ecu to go for..i'm not into them at all so its like reading jiberish for me..

i have a civic coupe with b16b stroked to 1.8,s80 98 spec box, 5zeigin 4-2-1 mani, and standard integra exhaust with decat.

i am happy with the car i find it very torquey and it is sticking with and beatin some integras..now i want to get it mapped right as i was told most b16bs when stroked over fuel etc and i might as well do the proper job rather than using a neo etc..

i was lookin at: motec,power fc, hondata??

wat ye reckon as i've no experience with them

i will be doin some more mods but nothin major.

who can map what good in ireland? thats what would sway my decision

the software isnt so important. as its really just fuel and ignition tables being altered, no boost etc.

so is there any good honda mappers in ireland? use whatever software they prefer.
 
Yeh true good point, you don't need to spend you money on something like Motec though. Go for the chipped p28/p30 route if you can :nice:
 
give vtec6000 off here a pm and he will sort it out he is mapen mine sat week lad!

ive an apexi power fc should do the trick!

think he prefares to map with ectune tho but its up to your preference like!

Thanks mate:nice: How's your boosted b16 coming along?

obrienej6 has had this discussion with me before about what ecu to go for and last time we talked he was set on a PFC which is understandable there cheap to pick up second hand. eCtune is a pretty nice tuning software and has its advantages over a PFC for sure:nice:

i'm all undecided now ha ha:) wat does ectune offer, launch control? etc
