Doing a b swap in a facelift EJ9. The b16a2 is out of an EG6 (obd1) So i got myself an obd2b wiring loom and a facelift EK4 ecu. All the plugs on the wiring loom fit except the dizzy so I would have to do abit of splicing to make it work. Would it be best to use an obd1 wiring loom and a different ecu then get a conversion harness? Or reckon what I said above will be alright?

The ecu will give you problems as the immobiliser will be coded to it's key. Not sure if it would just be a case of changing the ignition barrel but then you're unlikely to have that from the donor car anyway i guess.

This can be done but is very very tricky, you need to get hold of a 10 pin soldering iron to extract the immobiliser chips, but you would still need the transponder from the car which the ECU came from.

Rywire sell loom conversions plugs for the dizzy :nice:

Get your self an EK9 ecu as a quickfix it doesn't have an immobiliser.

I have an ek9 ecu aswell because of it not having an immobiliser. Will it run alright with it? Sorry abit of a noob! Won't it run rich or something?

You could also get a chipped P28 or a P30 with a conversion harness. If you get a chipped P28 you will also be able to adjust some things like VTEC point, rev limit etc.

Which ecu would be best to use? Will the ek9 one run alright? Don't have a lot of money at the minute
