when i come to insure a ek9 why dose it sometimes come up as a es ??

Never heard of them being an ES..

Just tell them its a Japanese import.. Honda Civic Type R and give them the year..

It is probably a good idea to call them and speak to them. Online quotes don't often recognise what the car is, due to it being an Import.
 
yeah I live in the uk. I have tried a couple and they do come up as ek9s but most of the time like I said they come up as a es :S

It will often be a reg search error because the car is an import.

If you are looking for insurance on the Import its best to use a specialist rather than generic insurers.
