I would go for the fidanza as its lighter and a well known make.

I have one too and think its a great piece of kit. I cant comment too much on the F1 really.

fidanza ive always been abit funny with the f1 stuff simply cos of the price, ive got a fidanza on mine cant complain at all!

If you get the F1 just make sure to get an OEM bearing as the one that comes in the kit is junk!

I have a relatively new ACT 12lb fly for sale, £145.

if you're performance oriented, I would get the fidanza.

I have no idea if the F1 is chromo or aluminum, but I would get the fidanza based on the fact that the friction shield can be replaced.

I'm sure the F1 unit is quality. However, if it was my car, I'd use the fidanza because it's lighter and has the above mentioned replaceable friction plate.

At $125 for the F1 or XTD or other chinese flywheel price you can just buy a new one every clutch job, that's what i do since the friction material on most known flywheels is about $100.

yeah but it's still 1kg or 2.2lbs heavier...that's the primary point at the end of the day... :p

oem last longer if you have na toque
OEM does last longer but what's the fun in that?

I would recommed chrome-moly (any brand)...fidanza is alu, stay away.

I've used aluminum flywheels extensively for years without failure on the track and on the street.

what's wrong with them? People who balk about alum flywheels tend to think they are made from the same aluminum as popcans or something.

It's not like the friction disc is aluminum itself..and if you're worried about the different expansion rates, well that's not really a concern if you buy a quality unit that uses 6061 alum.

out of interest does anyone know a good site to get the fidanza one cheap?

i used a new act prolite for many years and had enough after few years (quality was very good and nothing wrong in that sense but for daily driving to many downsides, i also didnt like the deceleration it gave as in harsh )

i switched to heavier act streetlite few months back and much prefer it for daily driving, loose little in terms of revability but all round much much better for me

i went for 4kg MF one as i was considering fidanza 3.4kg one but pussied out in terms of driveability for a DD

Iv also got a fidanza 3.4kg. and i would defo reccommend..... think i got mine for tegiwa's ebay shop for £165 delivered.
