I think my expectation of fitting my decat b pipe n n1 in about an hour and a half was a bit optomistic!!!! :nono:

Everything that could go wrong went wrong there were shered bolts hacksawing of bracket, swearing, employment of little sister as nobody else was around! nuts with no bolts more swearing, bleeding, rain, hacksawing of decat pipe!, bolts that were to big, removale of rear bumper and of course lots more swearing!

Then eventually its on and its blowing around the joins so off to kwik fit or where ever, i go! as i cant be bothered to p**s about with it anymore!

But on the plus side sounds awesome (like the god of thunder) and feels more powerful all the way through the revs  . have lost a lil bit of the vtec noise but can def still tell when it kicks in.

Good thing i changed it though as i could bend the old b pipe in halt where the crack was so big

Does anybody know if i will need to change the decat over for the mot? ive been told by others no as its an import but im not sure.

Cheers guys :)

Emissions for UK cars and Imports have to be the same.

You will most likely need to get the CAT back in for MOT

lol at the employment of little sisters part, sorry if i gave you an optimistic time frame :(

thanks looks like im gettin a cat then :(

Best thing about the b series Cat is it only take at the very most half an hour to change, aslong as the boltsm are stainless steel.

Stainless nuts and bolts will still seize if given enough time, just give them a spray with WD40 Loads before you start, have a grinder on hand and new bolts

:mad:took me an hour of swearing and arseing around with spanners before i finally decided to cut my cat bolts off.Least ill know for next time.

How can it take an hour to change a cat..Its only 5 bolts?? Put copper grease on them and the will open so easy next time..Simple job
