Hi guys and girls,

Would a Spoon b-pipe fit and work with a Mugen Twinloop Backbox? :nice:

Cheers

no
spoon has standard peice like type r
mugen has flat bolt peice...

if that makes sense :nice:

if they both bolt up to a oem b pipe which im 99% sure they do then there is no reason why it wont fit:nice:

wrong, mugen t/l has crush ring/doughnut type joint like spoon.

because it's huge and has a resonator that hangs extra low and gets smashed easily....which leads me to theorize why there's more Mugen TL backboxes for sale than complete TL systems.

The Spoon midpipe will not directly fit because the Mugen TL backbox requires a 2.5" donut like that off of JDM headers.

i run a the whole catback and have never hit the resonator but yes the thing is huge. car is lowered 2''s and i drive on new jersey roads which are some of the worst around.

Tried and failed - I tried to bolt my TL back box to stock ITR b-pipe and as said the flange on the back box is way bigger.
An exhaust shop would probably be able to sort it out..........
I've got mugen b pipe now anyway.........

And you cannot buy TL and Mugen b pipes separately, its one kit!

wow lots of conflicting info in this thread.

so a Spoon muffler will bolt to Honda b-pipe but Mugen TL won't?

correct. i have had both. spoon n1 muffler uses 2 1/4 gasket and the mugen twin loop muffler uses 2 1/2

How come Muldo's did?

or may he of took it to a exhaust specialist, Muldo brief me on what you did?

here a pic of the end of the spoon muffler. u can see the rest of the pics with the link.
