Hey guys, looking for abit of wheel help...Would 195 width tyres fit on these rota fighters?...

I previously had 205 width, 45 profile Toyo Proxes t1R's on there, just wondering if the 195 width tyres would fit aswell?

Thanks :)

I think you can use 195 / 45 / 16 if the wheel has a +42 offset.

But you should go with a 205 width tire tho..

195 will fit, but 205 is much better.

So they would fit and it would drive ok?

its not for me! someone is interested in buying the alloys and would like to know if 195 width tyres would fit as they are alittle bit cheaper than the 205 width toyo's.

Yes, it just won't look to good or perform as well as a 205. Tell they guy to stop being such a cheap bastard, he already bought cheap wheels, god some people amaze me!

lol thanks blinx but being a student i havnt got cash flowing in my pockets! Hope you're not offended tho that people dont have as much money as you ;)

Believe me i don't have that much money and work very hard for my money just like everybody else, only recently have i got a job that pays decent. T

There are ways to save money which are fine, and sometimes its better to delay the project a bit and save a bit more, for example i really would hold off until you had enough $$ to get the 205's, i cant imagine it being too big of a price difference, plus the slightly wider tire will protect your rim much better.

Furthermore maybe its because i live in the US but 195/45/16 seems to be a VERY uncommon size and is actually quite pricey opposed to the 205/45/16 which is much more common, you will have more options and prices seem to be lower, for example the Hankook RS2 is $96 for 205/45/16, a very reasonable price :nice:

From what I've seen around and from quotes that I got for tyres in the last few days, Toyo's vary by about £15-20 on each tyre from 195 to 205 which makes about 60-80 difference for the whole set which I think works out to about 100 somethin dollars in ur case.

Anyway yeh im thinking of doing the same thing as you say. Buying the wheels and saving up for the tyres!

But you saying "save for 205s" is a better advice than saying "Tell they guy to stop being such a cheap bastard" :nice:

I am aware of that, but i was not talking to you when i said that, i was talking about you, that is a big difference. You were not on this thread and i did not even know the potential buyer for the wheels was on this forum so i will speak freely about that person unless i know otherwise. It was nothing personal.
