Im undecided on what camber arms to buy mainly because ive never owned a set of adjustables so have nothing to compare to

Will there be any benefits from having adjustable camber arms if my tires are wearing evenly as it is??

Im either going for these...

CIVIC EG FRONT UPPER CONTROL ARM OE STYLE HARDEND RUBBER 2PC

Or these...

CIVIC EG FRONT UPPER ADJUSTABLE CONTROL ARM NO BUSHINGS 2PC

CIVIC EG DC2 FRONT UPPER ARM BUSHING REPAIR KIT RUBBER 14PC

IMO i dont think i need adjustable arms mainly because my tires have always worn evenly and im about 30 - 40mm drop all round. The car will only be used as a daily and weekend fun, its not going to see the track. Im planning on getting meister zeta s coilys with a drop of about 40mm id guess.

Is there any point spending the extra on adjustables??

Had d2s on my last ek they where quite tricky to set them up evenly no real gains for daily use ideally use for track cars so they can be set up to suit the track.

this is what im thinking, i cant see any benefit for a daily/weekend car especially when its more hassle and more money for adjustable.

would i see uneven tire wear on a daily driver if the ride height was say 50 - 60mm drop? ive never gone that low so im not sure, just want to know what i can get away with once i buy coilys

You need to first realise what you want from a geometry change and understand why you want it, too many people buy parts just because there shiny and they think they need them.

On my old EK4 SiR it saw track a few times and I realized I needed some more rear positive camber after a few days out I needed to loosen up the rear a little, added some 3mm washers to the rear camber arms to lengthen them a touch and it was amazing the difference they made to the turn in with that bit more positive camber, just for an example of not "wasting" money before you have to.

Get the coilys slapped on first and take it from there after some good spirited driving :nice:.

id love to get the coilys first but im not having any luck finding a used set so im thinking just buy new and haven't got that money just yet

The front end of my cars in bits ready to change bushes, links etc so i want to get the camber arms now so i dont have to put these rusty ole things back on but i get what your saying.

Im not buying them because there a shiny new mod, my old ones are shot and im trying to plan ahead for when i might be at a lower ride height. I want to buy the non adjustables so i might do that for now and sell em on if i need adjustable in the future

Ah fair enough if your at that depth with the build, nothing stopping you buying fully adjustable and getting a good stock geo setup to start with or researching some nice fast road setups.

Just there's so many examples of people buying eBay adjustable camber tat and doing there cars handling more harm than good.

But the hardrace front camber arms seem like one of the better designs :nice:.

Suspension is where I'm waek - I don't know a great deal about it, but yep, do NOT go for ebay specials - they are made by cadburys ;)

Ive gone for the Skunk 2 Pro series ones. Waiting for them to turn up.

good price? hardrace are around £200 for fronts with all bushes

My recommendation is spc front caster/camber arm if you are going for adjustable arms. I'm a bit unsure if they are available for EG.

Uneven tyre wear is normally due to poor toe settings, and rarely due to camber. It's a bit of an internet myth. Camber adjusters are only really necessary for dedicated track cars in order to fine-tune the handling balance. :nice:

il check them out but im leaning towards non-adjustables because it wont see the track

Thats good to know. Think il be going for non-adjustables for what i use it for, especially with the meisters i think il be happy. Just wanted to see if there would be a big benefit before ordering a pair

:nice:
