My Ek9 track car build up

See you in hell ABS

Quite a bit of weight in this lot

Now the brake pipes are out the way I've decided to tackle the other side of the bulkhead where the clutch fluid had attacked,
More wire brush wheel action

Can i ask you, but why is't the devil ? Only for track? :)

It's over sensitive when you don't want it to be, doesn't work properly when you want it to,
Pedal feels better with out it

not as good as more modern ABS systems but not terrible either

also nothing wrong with keeping it on the car

As b16mini says, but mainly the pedal feel for me, it really puts me off lol

Good work mate, my kind of build :) Do you have a link for the wire wheel attachments you're using? They look like they work really well, without damaging the metal itself.

Cheers!

I got the wire wheels from a local hardware/tool type shop, they are made by a company called silverline

They're quite good as they don't drop all the bristles after a few minutes use like some do.

Paid about £2 each for them

Thanks mate, used quite a few of the Silverline bits, pretty good stuff for the price! Will look into their wheels :)

Cheers

Only issue I've gt with silverline, Jason Plato!
Guy grinds my gears!
Got a full spanner set of silverline, was like £15. Can't complain

^ lol, not a big fan of him either,

Anyway done a bit more on the car also ordered a safetydevices cage

Cleaned the arches up a bit better, gave them a fresh coat of white,

Removed the calipers cleaned and painted the hubs
Cavity waxed and dinitrol'd the inner wing area and fitted fender braces

Also cavity waxed under the scuttle area

Had some calipers from a low mileage dc2 here so decided I'd clean them up and put them to use

Cleaned and painted graphite grey

Sandblasted my front lower arms

I'm going to replace all the bushes in the front end,
I had planned to use hardrace bushes but all the hardrace dealers over here are a rip off now.
Went for energysuspension bushings for the inner arm bushings(top and bottom) and blueprint bushings for the front damper fork mountings, also went for blueprint arb bushes as the existing bushes were oval!

Got some hel lines from freaky parts as well:nice:

Bit of a small update, again nothing exciting but all progress I guess.....

Removed the rest of the bushes in the front arms, cleaned and rubbed down the top arms and anti roll bar,

Took them to work and painted them all

Finished item, picture quality is poor and doesn't show the shine or colour very well, but they are a dark grey sort of colour.

Also removed the power steering rack, pump and pipes in order to strip the rack down and make it a manual rack, a power cut has put a stop to progress tonight.

Love all the painted bits, so lucky to be able to do it yourself! Also love the colour :)

Thank you! I was going to do it all green but I think I made the right choice with the grey
