Before and After when she was N/A after a clean up and some personal choice cosmetic additions.

Stage one commenced not long after buying her. After a full clean down and some thoughts I decided to pursue the usual bolt on route.

• Step one was to get her breathing better
• Full Skunk2 Setup was installed consisting of the following bits
• Skunk2 Alpha Series Manifold 2.5" collector,
• Skunk2 Megapower R System 2.75" straight through.
• 2.5" Tegiwa Decat.

Yeah sadly that's what attracts knob heads to do this to it. One night stay over in Preston resulted in an attempted break in!

Shes always kept in a garage, but it was on a one night stop over in Preston to move out of my flat and come back home, was parked in a fully lit cctv area and still the **** did that.... pathetic, cars never going anywhere again.

Typical sticky calliper problems after some hard use and cold mornings. Obviously the car would need a full setup sorting one day but at this point I decided to rebuild the rears and clean everything up and whack some decent pads in.

• Rebuild kit x2
• Re-lube carriers
• Clean up all corrosion and dirt
• Clean handbrake cable/lube up return spring
• Ferado Ds2500 pads all round - really awesome pad even on stock discs and servo setup they bite lovely.

Good old stock brakes and old dirty bits!

Didn't take any pics when I rebuilt the callipers sadly.

• Carrier bolts/slider loosened

• Handbrake return spring. Cleaned and lubed.

Ferado Ds2500 pads. You can see where the old wear on the pads didn't quite reach the full surface of the disc here.

Yeah I've seen this too...., It will annoy me also but it'll be much better than the stilts its currently on lol! I just can't warrant spending another few hundred on coilovers when I have so much other stuff to do... baby steps lol. So for the summer it will suffice eh, and Im only wanting good quality parts for the Ek so as far as springs go I think Ive gone down the right route

Next plan is to sort the cosmetics out and map her, looking at a H-Tune base map then taking her to Tdi north up the road from me Any advice ?

I had lowering springs on my old civic ek3 and it sat slightly lower at the front but I liked it
