Flushed the coolant when the timing chain was done, problems occured before this happend, is the compression test not covered in the leak down

No smoke only at start up but smells very petroly, the waters being shot out the expansion cap but it has passed a leakdown test with 0% leakage

Mines rattles aswell mate most when im between 2-3k revs and 5-7k i think the gear knob just doesnt sit right and rattles i just keep my hand on it seems to stop the noise but other than that no other problems and mines has been on for about 6000 miles

Solved!! Woodruff key was needed tiny wee piece of metal

Im going to get it it torqued correctly i have ordered a new bolt and woodruff key supposedly this could be the problem

When you turn the engine one it spins as fast as the engines turning but when you turn it off and put it in gear to tighten it, its as much as we can tighten it, the first original bolt came out the first time this happend and was replaced with another bolt yes

Tried again last night but the bolt and washer were just spinning inside the pulley

Does anyone know if the crankshaft bolt is reversed threaded

Hi all, basicly my problem is on a d14a4 engine in my ej9, recently i had the timing belt done and now within about 2 weeks of driving the car the crankshaft pulley has loosened off Twice its just been the bolt that has loosened but it causes all of my belts(power steering alternator etc)...

Me and a mate will come along posibility of the two of us in ej9s
