Well I was brousing on How Many Left and looking at Civic Type R's there is only 158 with engine size under 1800cc which can only be ek9's. There would be a few more that were registered just as Civic.

wow thats not a lot at all! Rarer by the day you lucky sods ;)
 
Numbers will be more than that with all ones registered as sports ect?
 
Thought it woulda been a fair bit higher than that

Interesting! Makes me have 2nd thoughts about selling mine in that case! :)
 
For some models Ive been able to find more for sale than are supposedly "left".
 
I counted 157 in the EK9 register. And some arent recorded in that register. I guess something around 200 cars in the UK.

I looked at this a few years ago and noticed the numbers are a fair bit down today v then. I have a screen shot somewhere must dig it out.

The cars are regularly broken for parts and when the guys say how much they made in parts its hard to disagree with their logic. Also I have used parts from some of the breakers to keep mine in good nick so am not complaining about this.

I for one think its great people link Dunx are rescuing them. But if the numbers continue to decline then there is no doubt the price of the cars will continue to rise.

i would've though there was much more than that! But then there is probably a load of then registered as vti or sport models etc...
 
Well I assumed there would be a few registered as VTi, R and just Civic but all the used ones I have come accross I have never seen one so there can't be many. I reckon 170??????
BUT of the 158 I know of at least 5 race cars that are not on the road and SORN 100% of the time.
So must be 150ish on the roads.

I did not count Irish cars, broken cars, stolen cars and UK cars which are exported from UK.
 
Would be great if someone on here worked for DVLA or Police just to do a quick search for chassis number EK9*******.

154 now, only including those registered as a Type R.
112 tax'd and 42 SORN.

Mines one of the sorn. Be interesting to knoww exactly how many are left including ones registered as a normal civic!
