NEW PICS UPDATED PAGE 3
I Have for sale my immaculate 2000 Honda Civic Type Rx import, it was first imported into the U.K in 2008 as a GRADE 4B (still have original auction sheet) by Duncan of "Fast Jap Cars" who is a renowned EK9 importer.
(Some of you more eagle eyed members may recognise this as KAKS old EK9, if fact I believe there is still a build thread on here from when KAKS had it if anyone is interested in how the car was kept before I had it)
'V' Reg Facelift EK9
12 Months MOT
6 Months Tax
84000 Miles (will go up very slightly as its my daily)
Upon import the car was under-sealed, had the cambelt changed and had the clocks converted from KPH to MPH with the mileage adjusted and a certificate of mileage guarantee with the mileage in Kilometres before the conversion and Miles after. It has also been de-restricted from 112MPH.
This car was purchased by me in Jan 2009 and kept off the road over the winter in dry storage until May 2009 (have SORN form to prove) while I sorted a few minor things and organised insurance. The previous owner also kept it off the road over the winter as he had a second car so the bodywork and underbody is absolutely mint with no rust or signs of rust anywhere.
The interior is also immaculate with literally next to no wear on the red Recaro seats (so much so that I think the seats bolsters may have been replaced by the importer), the only mark on them is a small stitch repair on the base of the driver seat (not in plain view and nowhere near the suede, pics can be provided)
All 5 genuine red type r floor mats are all present and in mint condition. The MOMO steering wheel has virtually no wear on it at all which is also very rare on these cars.
All interior plastics, trims and rear seats are all intact and in perfect condition.
The standard wheels are in great condition with only very small kerbing on two front wheels.
The car has always been extremely well cared for by myself and by the previous 2 enthusiast owners and as such is in impeccably good condition for a car of its age, since owning it all servicing was carried out by myself (qualified mechanic) at regular 4000 mile intervals (as the car has never been tracked in my ownership) with Hamp filters and Castrol GTX Magnetec oil.
Since purchasing the car i have also replaced:
- Gearbox Oil Torco MTF (recommended by Mfactory, will include excess with car)
- Anti Roll bar drop links on all 4 corners
- ADL Blueprint pads on all 4 corners
- Brand new DOT 5.1 Racing brake fluid during pad change
- Coolant flush and change with genuine Honda type 2 Coolant (will include excess with car)
- Fuel Filter (OEM part)
- Front steering arm and steering arm gaiters replaced
- Full calliper rebuild on all four corners
- Brand New battery
(most of this work has been within the last 4 months)
It also has:
- Electric Folding Mirrors
- Electric Windows
- Power Steering
- Air-Conditioning (still works!)
- Alloy Pedals
- Carbon Fibre Effect Centre Console
- Genuine Honda Wind Deflectors
- JDM Toll Card Reader (Jap lady speaks when ignition is turned on)
- JDM yellow wing mirror glass tint
- JDM Double Din JVC head unit with 6 CD multi changer
- Original JDM emergency flare
- Thatcham CAT 2 Immobiliser with a certificate of fitment for insurance
Modifications:
- Fujitsubo RM01A stainless catback exhaust system (with noise reduction bung)
- J's Racing Decat Pipe (comes with original JDM Cat)
- Mugen Closed Air Induction system
- Meister R Zeta S Adjustable Coilovers (with Pillow Top Mount- height and dampening adjustable) Spring rates are 10kg/mm Front and 8kg/mm Rear.
- Genuine Spoon Sports rear upper strut bar
- Energy Suspension engine mount inserts
- Energy Suspension stiff shifter bushings
- Superflex anti roll bar bushes
- Tegiwa Imports brake master cylinder stopper
- Mugen Reservoir socks
Bad(ish) bits:
A few very small car park dents from careless people in busy car parks, these are very small and hardly worth mentioning.
A few stone chips on the front lip but nothing you would notice without being shown.
(Other than this the paintwork is very good, not faded or dulled like many other imports)
Remote for remote central locking does not work, but central locking on the key still works - having to turn the key does not bother me!
Drivers side "TYPE R" decal has started to peel, I just never got round to replacing it.
Window regulators are slow; as in every EK chassis civic but is not ridiculously slow by any stretch of the imagination and has never bothered me, but I thought id mention everything I could think of.
- - - - - - -
This car is an immaculate example and anyone who comes to view will not be disappointed, the engine is extremely strong and pulls really well throughout the rev range, no oil consumption at all, no smoke, runs exactly as you would expect from a well maintained car.
Be assured that you would be buying from a mechanic and an enthusiast most of all and that this car will be greatly missed if it were to sell. You will receive a large folder FULL of receipts and bills as well as the original Japanese owners manuals and Japanese service history.
I am in no hurry to sell, but if the right offer comes along then I may be tempted so open to offers!
I have literally 100's of pics of the car from every angle and position which I can send by email or pm to those of you who would like to see certain parts a little better before a viewing.
I will be the only person driving it on viewings regardless of insurance etc so please no test pilots.
