Japan beat Cameroon today (JDM Yo...)
Holland scraped by beating Denmark
Dissapointing result for England
Paraguay are beating the stallions..
Germany look strongest so far...still got to see what Spain and Brazil are like

Been watching it closely, big footie fan.
France were brutal, but wouldn't write them off just yet as they tend to be late starters.
England as always fail to play well as a team, despite having talented individuals, and all the usual English media hype.
Germany looked very solid, played well as a team, and although Cahill was wrongfully sent off, I still think the germans would have closed out the game without any real difficulty.
Italians were poor 1st half today, picked it up in the second half, Paraguay played a good tight game but never created much up front. The Italians, like the French, will improve and still have Pirlo and Gattuso on the bench so not to be taken lightly.
My tip to win are Spain, will be interesting to see how well they play, and if they can carry on from their success in the euros.
I drew the USA in a draw in work so was very pleased with the result on saturday night. Realistically don't have a chance of winning the whole thing but possibly quarter finals depending on who we draw in the last 16.(yes I am confident we'll make it passed the group stages)
In all honesty I don't care who wins as long as the football is entertaining to watch, which it hasn't really been so far, and of course once England don't win. But I really don't see that happening

Not the best of starts to a World Cup!
Yes Germany do look the strongest so far but hey they have only played one game. The Italians were very poor 1st half and did make a big improvement 2nd half. They will definately improve further when Pirlo and Gattuso make their appearances - Well lets hope so anyhow! They have always started poor mind you and gathered some kind of momentum towards the end. Look what happended last World Cup, they weren't that great but they did have an amazing game against the Germans in the Semi Final though I would like to see them win it again, I am a great fan as you can probably see!

This has got to be THE MOST ties that I have seen in the first round of the World Cup... EVER! It is too early to call it, but I gotta root for the home team.

I just wish that they would change the ball. Those new Adidas balls do funny things in the air. Make it absolutly impossible for the keepers to stop.
As for my predictions this year... I feel an underdog team is gonna take it this year (USA?), and ABSOLUTLY no team from Africa is gonna win. Not prejudice or anything (i am black) just sayin....
and is it me, or is the stadium getting attacked by killer bees?

SPAIN got beat by Switzerland today :O
New Zealand drew with Italy this morning (my time) - awesome!
Unfortunately you could say that it was more to Italy playing like utter rubbish rather than New Zealand playing well, although the NZ defence was outstanding. The Italians had something like 15 corners and failed to score!
The only goal the Azzurri got was a penalty from a weak dive
Its really annoying that diving and milking the penalty has become such a feature of the game, and part of a strategy to use against the other team, rather than all out good play and magnificent set peices.
The look on the Italian supporters was nothing short of absolute dejection, it looked like Italy had just lost the world cup final! Although I suppose a draw against a side ranked only 87th (I think) is tantamount to a hiding by Brazil or Spain in the final if you're the current world champs
