300mm Brake Conversion Details

It would be nice if you could post a couple pics with the wheels on and off so we can see how the twin pots bolt up.

Cheers man

My mate should be doing his 96 spec Integra with the upgrade this weekend or next so il get him to write a review for that car aswell, would benefit EK4's with MB6 hubs

where are you guys sourcing the calipers from? are they better than the legend twin pots? weight/piston size?

Piston sizes are bigger yeah mate and a bigger disc obviously

Not sure on weight though

Just found this thread. Very interesting!

Do you think you could get some pics up Dunsy to show what's needed?

Posting here for future reference, so don't mind me :)

Right Guys.

Firstly sorry for the Delay

Secondly im Sorry i don't know if these Photos are actually any good to you or not, Wasnt sure what you were wanting pics of really. Just taken on my phone so not the best quality either.

Basically what you can see is the Carrier which mounts straight to the same points as the OEM calipers

If you guys let me know if these are any Help to you, if not i can take some more if you tell me what your after :)

Are the washers definitley 3mm? Any pics of where they go would be brilliant for the mechanically retarded like myself :p

Defo 3mm, I Think the washers were used to space out the Disk from the hub...

To be 100% honest though, i Didnt do the work personally on my car. i have however helped on a 96 spec and 98 spec ITR and neither of these needed washers. Il double check with my friend who did the work later today and confirm.

Sorry for the clarity of this post :? its not the best Lol

That would brilliant :nice:

Sorry no...The Caliper requires spacing out from the Disk...God its early :S

In the photos you can see the back of where the caliper bolts to the Carrier...Im almost 100% sure the Washers go on the other side of this to space the caliper that little bit further out.

Like i say i will double check today

No mate, they are much better. The best part is you can buy Uprated parts off the shelf. its not like a specialised brake upgrade where you need super expensive parts to replace them

For example some good discs (brembo/Dixcel/whatever) for the Accord Type R and any Pads...ITR/EK9/ATR

Ive never experienced any Fade with these, Its still standard honda items im using and even on my last track day my Hankook RS2's were giving up grip before these were fading...They never did Fade in the slightest and actually just got more and more responsive with more heat.

Cant wait to try out some aftermarket parts with this setup

The only disadvantage is you need to run 16's...or 15" team Dynamic pro Race 1.2 Clear them Apparently

Shall find out soon though as i have ordered a set  I bloddy hope they fit over. haha!

Yeah the slipstreams are great wheels and the brakes look really good behind them!

Cant wait to see how they look behind a set of 15s :)

Glad i can help chaps...

a wee interesting fact...These calipers from Honda are close to £900
