These are 15x6.5 SSR RF pro Firenze ET40...They clear the brakes with no spacers...Oh my god

Just secured a pair of these after much searching!!
Hard to come accross since people found out what a good brake upgrade
they are.
Be a while until i get them fitted but looking forward to the breaking performance:))
Hope Ross wont mind me doing the copycat but couldnt resist!!:naughty:

How did you know they would fit or was it a fluke or did you had them laying around and just tried it....? :)

I wonder if TE37s in 15 would fit? :D
They are supposed to be quite good for big clearance are they not?

TE37s in 16 x 7 ET38 only JUST clear these brakes on parkers ITR...So 15 inch ones will defo not

Gerry From PerformanceTek had them fitted to a Jordan before me, Redrilled discs to 4x100 and ran them under Team dynamic pro Race 1's...Those wheels have a huge clearance though!, alot more than the pro race 1.2s so it was really a gamble and a bit of trial and error to get them on :)

One of the best modifications i have done to my car.

I still run OEM Discs and with the yellowstuff pads they are SO Impressive!

Steven will deny it or have some excuse for not having ABS but they were easily as good as the Spoon brakes at Knockhill

Brilliant cost effective upgrade :nice:

I don't believe the Spoon caliper myth; once the brakes have locked the wheels surely there's no more braking to be had, no matter how many pistons you have.

At the end of most rally stages the standard brakes are red-hot on the EK9, but there's no fade with the carbone lorraine pads we use regardless of heat so braking efficiency is never compromised, therefore there's really no need to spend the ludicrous amount of money on Spoon calipers which are the same size anyway. Or is there?

Think the Spoon might have a better feeling?

Think the Spoon might have a better feeling?

Yeh they would feel better, but it'd be purely psychological. For me, big brakes are only necessary for racing where you have problems with the stock braking system due to the heat being generated or if they don't lock the wheels when you really put your foot to the floor, but stock calipers with performance pads and disks do both just as well at both as Spoon calipers.

At least with Dunsy's upgrade something is getting bigger. And for a very small price once the standard calipers are sold.

I actually did this conversion for £30 at the end of the day once sold my Stock calipers and discs on haha!

Hi

I wonder if the OZ Superleggera 7x15 et37 allow use 300mm and ATR Calipers. I have one set of team dynamics pro race 1 and I know that fit, but liked to have other wheels in order to use in the track with slicks.

Regards

How thick are these rotors?

And what year and type of car did these rotors come from?
