Did the Type Rx really come with a 4 stud fitment ?


I didn't know that... this advert seems werid, Random speedo but ek9 rev counter... badges faded.. weird blue seats and a random steering wheel.... B20 though...

Just shouts Fake at me.. If its genuine, Cool and if its someone on here... Shame on you haha...

Oh and Btw i know in the advert it says " 4 stud conversion " but read on and the owner claims all Type Rx ek9's came with these... so how can it then be a "4 stud conversion"

No. The seller has no idea what he is talking about. For starters, the RX is the "top of the range" model, it only came in the facelift models and had all the extras included. All ek9's were 5 stud, even the lightweight and race base models.
 
I heard there where a few 4stud race base but they where only on the preface and real early ones at that.
Chances are it's just an ek9 that's been stripped of all its decent parts and is now being passed off as a race base...

can you give me a vin number of a EK9 with factory 4 stud? via pn if you dont want to make the vin number public.

The 4x100 conversion in Japan came about because the guys racing them usually came from eg6 and ek4 so with lots of spare wheels.. so chances it was raced before..
 
SB9 gearbox... Hardly a track box, didn't they come of the mb civic 5 door?

Most likely. I'm almost certain that they were all 5 stud out of the factory.

I don't know of any personally. Just what I've read somewhere, will try and find it.
 
They were all 5x114.3 from the factory , but the above reason is the cause of such internet rumours
 
before the ek9 go to production ,some images/draws leaked that time showing the ek9 with 4studs.
 
I always thought all RX's were 00? (all facelift)

If so, why is it a pre face?
 
Check the intake manifold
Thats a B16a2
Interior panels and cluster are from a EJ9 d14
 
Seen this one the other day. Some stuff doesnt add up.

But The race base did come with the shity grey interior with the view of it would be ripped out stripped and caged for the track. There was no power folding mirrors, electric windows or AC(orABS cant mind which). Also the race base was a 4 stud(some).

It is definatly not an RX as stated the where late 99-00 facelifts only

Why the **** it has an S9B and a VTi inlet i have no idea. And what the **** is with the blue seats i have no idea.

Yup defo not an RX but i think we have cleared that up already. From what i can assume it is a Racebase, but was probably stripped for parts, then the chassis was purchased and rebuilt, Hence the B20, 4 stud etc.
