I have been planing on selling my EK9 for a month or two now, origanally it was to fund me entering a few rounds of the Vtec challange this year.
But i have had a change in sercamstances over the past month or so & i have come to relise i have bigger prioritys (family) than throwing everything at cars.
Belive me when i say this is a VERY reluctant sale!!!!!!!!!

I bought this car back in in may last year & it needed some TLC to say the least.
Sin's getting the car i have spent a small fortune on getting it to the standard it is today-

Fixed speed sensor (was jumping round all the time)
Fixed oil leak (leaking from sandwitch plate seal)
Fitted new NS door (old one had dent & bad repair)
Fixed fog light (new bulb)
New fittings all all 4 corners for the bumpers to fit nice & snug
Fitted new set of seat belts (all 4)
Fitted some OEM Recaros
Fitted OEM shocks & springs
Fitted OEM cat back exhaust system
Full service Inc oil/plugs/timing belt/tensoner
Replaced discs & pads (front & rear)
Replaced brake fluid with RBF600
Cheeked over the whole car
Change gear oil
Replace oil valve stem seals & valve guides
Check valve clearances
Front & rear drop links
Rear RTA bushes
Changed steering rack for a refurbed one
Painted a custom rocker cover
Re sprayed front bumper (had some bad paint flaking)
Replaced both front wheel bearings

In the past few days i have done the following work ready for the new owner-

Oil & filter change
Gear oil change
Re sprayed front bumper again (as the coulor match on the last Re spray was off & had a few stone chips)
Replaced N/S/R wheel bearing (has been "humming" for a month or so but had no play in it at all, but replaced it for the new owner anyway)
Shampooed all the interior & carpets

Things still to do befor the car goes- (see pic's)

Repair & spray the surface rust on the rear arch's (only noticed this the other day while cleaning & removed the rubber arch protectors)
Give the full car a detail so it is as clean as can be for the new owner.

Right that is what has been done to the car over the last 7 months, so now onto the car its self.

It is a 98 Pre Facelift CW model with a JDM B18C fitted, the B18 that is fitted was bought from R-motion & had covered around 70,000 miles when fitted. The engine has covered around 20-25,000miles sins being fitted.
It has had oil & filter changes every 2-3,000 miles or befor & after every track day (gear oil every other)
The car is 100% mecanicly sound & wants for nothing as you will be able to tell from the lists above.

This is a list of the mods fitted with the car-

Cusco ally Rad
DC2 airbox with K&N filter & silicone intake pipe
DC2 4.7fd gearbox
Spitfire 8.8mm plug leads
Spoon front & rear strut braces (rear not fitted)
C-pillar brace
"JIMBOB" spoiler tilt brackets
Resonated de-cat
Dished steering wheel (not sure on the make)
Moddified DC2 seat rails (low sitting)
3 guages in dash (not conected atm)
Head unit relocated to above cup holders
OEM DC2 wheels
Facelift rear lights
OEM yellow front fog lights
Toad thachem 1 alarm & imobliser

The car has covered 106,000miles/ MOT'ed till may/ TAX'ed till may.
It is fully undersealed too

The bad bits about the car- (see pic's)

There has been some filler in the rear drivers quater pannel at some point in its life & is noticable when you get up close (although i missed this when i was buying the car)
There is a stone chip in the windscreen right in the middle (passed its last MOT with it there)
Drivers wing mirror has been glued into place but the fold motion still works. (i can see out of it 100% fine & so can the Mrs im 6"1 & She is 5"2 so dont think anyone would have a prob seeing out of it)
Drivers recaro has 3 small scuffs on under side of upper bolster (was like that when i bought them)
Few scratch's on the rear bumper
Slight reaction in the paint on the front bumper (you would notice it unless it was pointed out)
Wheels could do with a refurb
Tyres only have about 2-2.5mm of tread left (prada spec 2's)
Does use a little oil as most vtec's do, around max-min on the dip stick every 1500-2000 miles. Only ever have to top it up once between oil changes which I do every 3000 miles or before & after each track day (which I have only managed two in this car)

I am very bad at writing adverts & hope you can see i have been 100% honest about every aspect of the car, & as most of you know on here that i am a very trusted guy who has a real passion for hondas & inpoticular EK9's ( know them inside out lol)

All in all this is a very good EK9 & would be "MINT" with a full respray.
This does not mean it NEEDS a full respray, just to say that is what it would take to make this car MINT/showroom condition. Personally I wouldn't do anything with it & just enjoy the car as it is.:secret:

I have a few options to any potentional buyers too-

I can refurb the wheels mat black free of charge (i have the paint) or can refurb them OEM CW for £75
I can remove the gauges & put the head unit back into it origanal place
I could swap the steering wheel for a OEM one.
I have my yellow track rim's that could go with the car if the buyer wanted

(I WOULD NEED A DEPOSIT BEFOR I DID ANY OF THESE)

Price is £4450 ovno
I am also open to PX offers, but please relise i am looking for something cheeper to run.

My mobile number is 07540769657 if any one want to speak to me about this.

Cheers guys, I think I have priced it very fairly considering the Market at the mo & the condition/spec of the car.

Yeah it did take ages to sell because of the condition it was in & I guess people didn't want to take it on, I wanted something I could work on & make my own.
I have sorted all the niggles & more mate, the car wants for nothing mecanicly & is only cosmetic things that are the issues.
I personally wouldnt do anything with the car, it still looks mint after a wash & polish. I only wanted to point out the issues to any potential buyers to save my time & anyone else's (honesty is the best policy) .

Hi mate are you willing to sell the gauges separately??

Only if the buyer didn't want them with the car.

Yeah tell me about it mate, really don't want to sell it really but I'm 27 today & it's about time I spent more time & money with my family.

I WILL have another one in a year or two, but next time I get one it will be to build a race car!:naughty:

Even with the minor issues it's worth every penny of the 4.4 your asking. Glwts shouldn't hang around long.

Come on Jim, you know you really want to PX it for one of our DC2 VTC cars!

Gutted to see you selling it mate. :(

Well, still have Forza 4 at least :p

I'm gutted I'm having to sell it too.

Cheers mate!

Happy birthday btw!!!!

Cheers buddy:D

Come on Jim, you know you really want to PX it for one of our DC2 VTC cars!

Mike you know I would LOVE to & you know how much I want to be on the grid of the VTC, but I have had some issues at home over the past few months (mrs) & it has made me relies were my priorities lie.
As I said in the first post I was going to sell the car to fund entering the VTC this year (got my go racing pack & was going to book my ARDS this week) which I could still do, but its about time I put my family first. (not been on holiday for 5years)
I WILL still get my arse on the VTC grid at some point, but only when I truly have the funds to do so!

I will still be at all the VTC events to support & help out were I can as usual!:D
