any one no vtecdriver on here?????????/ASAP

Cash on collection only option, if he wants it that bad he will fly over.

Pearse,

Car is absolutely minted, so good luck with getting it shifted. I'm gonna jump right on the bandwagon, if I had the cash I'd definitely blah blah, I think we all would!

What I would do is contact your bank and ask them what options you would have receiving money from overseas. You're dead right about paypal and if he won't send it as a gift, he can claim it back and cause you a massive pain in the ass, aswell as £500.

I don't see any reason why he can't wire you £500 using a direct bank to bank transfer, again paying any fee's at his end (negligible compared to getting the car) and then your bank will inform you when that is FULLY cleared. Shouldn't take more than 5 working days. Your in no rush and if your car really is the one for him, he'll have no bother waiting until it's cleared.

If not I suggest you tell him to jog on and wait a few more hours for a UK buyer.. Which you WILL get. I think taking a deposit put's both you and the seller at more ease, as daft as it sounds. Jumping off a plane with no paper trace and £5000 in my backpocket isn't on my list of favourite passtimes.

Anyway, Lovely car priced to sell.

GLWS

would i be wise to change my mind and keep car in dry storage?
would a car like this rise in value,
killing me to sell and im not under any fineantial pressure to sell, but
it would be a real shame to see it not getting daily use,as i drove it every day!!
i must say at this point i would not be open to offers at this price

As I said I'll have it if not have the money u can have deposit and cash for car!
It's a minter I must say
I would love to own this

Me personally I'd have to take a deposit to prove he was serious even though I never wen I bought my 9 and i'm not jus sayin this coz I want it! But if he is serously comin over from germany then he must want it :(

one thing i find stragne though mate is the fact he has not noticed this thread??
could be nothing but you would think you would notice a trhead with your name as the title.

cash on collection always the best, although i never bother with a deposit as for me its not a good way to do buisness as its shows mis-trust... and also i would never want to have someones money just becuase they didn't turn up to look at the car... thats pretty low in my eyes.. fair enough if you take a day off work for it its not fair but you should hav wokred out if the buyer is serious or not and its not worth a £600 deposit....but thats me i am very honest and open when it comes to buisness as i think there should be no other way.

GLWS though i am sure it will all be above board and genuine.

Indeed that does seem a tad weird he hasn't commented on this thread seein as it has his name on it

If he is willing to come over in the next week or so, and as you are in no rush to sell, you can easily promise to hold the car until he sees it.

Then, if he takes a bank draft made payable to only you for the full amount with him, he sees the car and you both go to the bank to verify the draft.

This way no is at risk. He can travel with easy with a bank draft and you don't have to worry about Paypal.

If none of this works hold on to the car and sell it for 6k in 4-months!

just be careful mate a lot of dodgy folk out there, he may well be genuine but to be fair I cant see you having any problems selling the car at that price and condition

If it was me, I would do as follows:

1. £500 PayPal deposit.
2. Wait for the person to arrive.
3. Go to the bank and get them to count the money with the person there beside you or get him to withdraw it in front of you so you know it's not Monopoly money.
4. Refund the deposit on your computer with the buyer present.
5. Take the cash.
6. Fill out the forms.
7. Shake hands.
8. Wave goodbye.

exactly as champ white said

get the 500 deposit and when he comes over refund it when he collects the car with the rest of the money

i want to know, had pearse9000 a buyer before me? I offer pearse9000 200 pounds more for his car because i thinking that he had have a buyer for the car on monday, thats the true?
If not i pay the 200 pound for nothing.

One more question does someone know the real mileage from the ek9 from perase9000? Because in the thread stand 69tkm but i have found a thread from perase9000, where he asked why his ek9 with milage from 70000 miles don´t use any oil?
