Automotive/tuning blogs.

PM Adam Ivell/6two1 he might be able to help you out man. His blog/following is huge now and he is a good dude.

I have already spoken to Adam, he was one of the only blog authors that responded and says he's willing to help! :win:

Who does actually run the EK9.org facebook page anyway, is it RVM or one of the mods?

I dropped at post on the comments section, if it could be reposted onto the main wall I'll literally nosh you off.

*I won't literally nosh you off.

Hey there Kozy, I'm a new member to the website but I've been reading a lot about B16Bs and have loved all the constructive feedback you've shared on it. I have a blog that I run and we get some good traffic and so I'd love to support you in return for the info I've gotten by your posts. If you'd like we can get you some exposure through there and our Facebook page as well. Any bit helps right? We have a decent following here in the US and the blog gets good traffic. Let me know! The blog is a bit slow as it's been winter season and with school being a priority but have a read further back for some content to get an idea. We're purists of sorts :)

Hi mate, that sounds fantastic! As you say any exposure helps so it would be greatly appreciated! :nice:

Cool stuff, liked and shared on facebook

:thanks: :D

Got this bit of publicity today, Performance BMW magazine.

Same should be going out in Banzai towards the middle of the month, then Retro Ford and PPC at the end. :nerv:

It's fair to say that a magazine feature has not had exactly the response I had hoped for.

I.e it's had no effect what so ever.

So... None of the big blogs even respond to emails. Paying through the nose for advertising is pointless. Getting mentions in magazines gets completely passed over. Forum promotion is mostly ineffective. Twitter doesn't work unless you've got thousands of followers, which I don't.

This is proving tough. Car people just aren't very receptive to this kind of thing. :(

Sent a message to the EK9.org page on facebook, no reply.

Cheers for the help guys. :(

Well the difficulty in promoting this is really starting to shine now.

12 days left, 53% funding left to find. It's recoverable, but looking less likely each day.

I am baffled by what has happened, it rocketed to 40% then suddenly, that was it. :(

I haven't read other folk's comments but try the likes of honda outfit, honda tuning and stuff like that. They always get thousands of likes on their Instagram. Excellent way to get noticed. Could also try status error, 6two1, team beard as well. They have plenty of followers too :)

I think gav is admin on ek9.org facebook page so you could possibly drop him a message too

The trouble is, Honda Tuning aside (who were very enthusiastic) these other pages just will not share it.

It seems to me that if if it's not a picture of a sweet ride, it's against their mission statement so they won't share it.

It's incredibly negative and I would encourage anyone else thinking of funding a project like this aimed at the car enthusiast market to find another way of doing it because the community in general is not massively receptive.

Great to see you Kickstarter made it Kozy! You must be delighted. The persistence paid off :D

Would love to hear more about how you got it across the line.

Distributor got in contact and offered 50% for exlusive distribution rights in the US.

Done deal. :nice:

It has however taken a significant slice of my margin though, more than I was expecting, so I'd really like to push it even more over the final week to recoup that. Any additional shares etc are much appreciated as are, obviously, new backers!

I'm running a group buy in the group buy section too, now that it's going ahead.

10 names down gets everyone an EK9 at £75, and that can include the guys already in if they want!
