B18C head on B16B Block?

Are the B16b and B18C heads interchangeable?

If so are there any advantages/disadvantages when doing this?

I ask this because some one is breaking a B18C engine and is selling the head with all the parts which i had planned on fitting into my b16b.

No real pros here unless it's an 18C1/C4 since the combustion chambers are slightly smaller as they are "wedge" shaped. But then you'd have to get it ported and fitted with ITR/CTR hardware.

The wedge shape combustion chamber is nice as it will bump compression while resisting detonation. The intake ports are also more straight shot. An aftermarket intake manifold will make the most out of it, or an Erick's Racing ported stock 18C1/C4 one works well too...provided you can convince the eccentric in him to produce one for you.

I have a b18c4 head and was was think of a b16b block what would I have to do to my head ie would I have to swap internals in my c4 head for this to work
 
the b16b head is as good as it gets standard. Its the exact same head as on a b18c6 Integra R engine. Polished about 2inches back from the valve seat in the port and has a 3 angle valve seat as standard.

The B18c4 head is and lower spec design made to work well with the lower compression bottom end and twin runner intake.

Unless you are having major port work done, high comp bottom end and a big set of cams. Swaping the Std B16B head for anything else will be a downgrade.
